Found our problem. Users are uploading files with a really long file name. Shortening the file name fixes the issue…this is a bug of some kind.

thendsprojectParticipantThanks…I found a fun per user plugin that works nicely to on a case by case basis…but this code you gave will be much easier since it is automatic. This skeleton key plugin is pretty cool, lets you log in as any user just using admin password. https://wordpress.org/plugins/skeleton-key/
thendsprojectParticipantI have confirmed the issue is that they have not yet logged in the first time. We want them to be activated as soon as they click the activation link, proving they are real. I see some various chats you have about this, but am unsure which solution to use. We have this setup so that it automatically enrolls them in free membership, and so I do not want to do anything that will mess that up.
thendsprojectParticipantIn digging a bit on Google, it does appear maybe they had not fully activated their account. I am unsure how to discern which step they lack: Did they not click the activation link yet? It seems that they have…I’m guessing they have not yet logged in the first time. Is there a way in the database, or back end, to manually change this?
thendsprojectParticipantNope we don’t…. It is really weird. We had to change to a new server so we could put an SSL on all four of these sites, and after doing the move, suddenly this issue is here…and only with my own domain! lol…so weird. Well, if you don’t have any ideas, I’ll just keep using my gmail for testing…so weird though. And – you are welcome.
thendsprojectParticipantI bought four copies. Actually, I had only purchased 3 until you said this just now, I had almost forgotten to go back in to get the fourth copy. Certainly not on purpose…these have been a mess. See here:

I cannot update theme currently…too much customization for an update…but that is not the problem, it just suddenly started happening – on all four sites.
thendsprojectParticipantThis has kinda been resolved. It turns out, that it is *only* for our own domain name of thendsproject.com, the one we have been using to make lots of test accounts with. Any idea why it would block just us?
thendsprojectParticipantThanks….quick question: will this move them to the membership level only after they have activated via the email? or will it do this prior even to the email activation? I need the email to still be required to prevent spam accounts…
thendsprojectParticipantThanks…. There seems to be some settings in the pages to allow access only for certain member levels, but they are not working correctly…
thendsprojectParticipantComedy… it is working now. Maybe I fixed it the other day when I fixed the buddypress settings and just needed to clear my cache. Thanks anyway!
thendsprojectParticipantHey actually I got it to work, by disabling WooCommerce. DO i need WooCommerce enabled for the theme to work correctly, and for auto-billing to work correctly for memberships?
