Hmm, somehow my post didn’t go through. This is resolved with the update v2.0.

I only wanted the admin bar to show for users logged in. I have it fixed though.

How can I add a create site button in the profile? I didn’t change this, but I may have gotten confused and thought it was there when it never was. That happens after days of working and not much sleep. 🙂

Ok, the double drop down is ONLY happening in Opera. That’s good, narrows it down.

What code do I use to change just the mobile css? I tried using media=”all”
    @media only screen and (max-width: 940px)

I have the css I want, just need to make it exclusive to mobile. 🙂

Didn’t know about the filter and using your own default avatar. Thank you, I may use that!

    Nope can’t see it.
I wonder if it’s the coming soon plugin. I mention this because when I click on your image link above, I can’t see it. I get a forbidden warning.

Even after switching to mystery man and saving in discussion?

Hmm….I’m looking through WP core files to see if it’s there.

Did you try another browser? The below thread suggests that it is a chrome issue with cache.

Reading from some other threads, each new registered member will not show up in the homepage carousel until they have logged in at least once.

Disable your coming soon plugin to log in as each one of your new members, then log back into admin and re-enable your coming soon plugin.

Did your circles come back to life at least? With 6 members in them?

in reply to: Gravatar Not Working #1899

For those I did have to choose “mystery man” and the reason is because in the code is is written like this:
    gravatar.http://gravatar.com/avatar/045ffb064449f8f60d78bd85cc47d267?d=gravatar_default&s=94&r=G

And I’m thinking it’s a wordpress error in the new version. So go to Settings, Discussion, and choose mystery man (or any others) and check the front page again. If you are using Multisite, make sure to do this in your main site dashboard and not the network dashboard.

    Hope this helps.

Somehow I missed a file somewhere. I reverted back to the old theme and still having the issue. So I must’ve lost a file somewhere in all my reinstalling wpmultisite and buddypress.

Happen to know which file handles the avatar circles?

Thanks for all your help. 🙂

It was disabled, in fact it was deleted….
I just retested and when it is inactive on my network, it locks up registration/blog. Crazy I know.

I finally found the problem tonight and all is back to normal….

JETPACK…that was the problem. I installed last week so I could connect to wordpress.com and was having lag issues so I uninstalled and the lag went away….I had also deleted it ….

Tonight I thought well let’s give it a whirl….and reinstalled it….now my site works like it’s supposed to.

    Jetpack y’all…..really?

I just wanted to follow up to say:

This is not a theme issue…at all….sorry that I thought it was 🙁

This has something to do with my setup.

As a result, since everything else is working, I will just hide the “get a blog” option on signup and have users get their blog once they are logged in and signed up. It’s probably better this way anyway, to avoid too much splogging. <–is that a word?

Anyhoo, thank you so much guys for your support and hard work trying to help me figure out the issue. I will be using the theme and look forward to more goodies down the road. 🙂 A million thanks for your efforts and otherwise premium support 🙂 🙂 🙂

Sadly I had this problem before the php mod to redirect logged in users. 🙁

What is baffling me is that the only way users can register is if I have “Both sites and user accounts can be registered” activated in Network Settings and they don’t choose to get a blog.

When “User accounts may be registered” is checked, no user registrations come through at all.

I did some extensive research regarding buddypress and this issue and didn’t come up with anyone having the exact same problem. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling buddypress and …yes…..dumping wp_bp tables…..don’t ever do this.

I had to restore to my version from 3 weeks ago and rebuild the site from there. (Godaddy overwrote the backup I made prior to my reinstall, I usually stay away from them but I was sucked into their last sale)

I have redownloaded (last night) and reinstalled a fresh version of the theme. I have some css overrides in the sweetdate dashboard styling page but the only mod I made was redirecting logged in users to their profile page using the php from this thread:

If your theme doesn’t modify bp files (v1.5), then it has to be a bp bug. Right? btw I really appreciate all your testing and help to figure it out. Well worth the $55 I paid. 🙂

I agree, at first it seemed that way because everything worked before the last update and that was what I changed, adding the mixed form. However, in further testing it definitely is not. I have activated the buddypress default theme and the same thing happens. This is why I was wondering if our bp files got changed in the last update. Because before I updated to v1.5 I didn’t have this issue.

When I refreshed you were in there….and now you’re gone…..poof…*blinks*
I don’t know what happened, perhaps cuz we both clicked on the activation link?

I don’t think it’s the mixed option now…I don’t even test with that anymore, I go straight to the /register page.

    Checking with bp default.

Did you register for a site? I only have the problem when someone registers a site at initial signup.

However, I am getting emails when I manually signup someone/site from the dashboard. As well as when I’m logged in and create a new blog.

I just realized a moment ago about the footer one, that plugin went bye bye forever.

Still not working. There is no activation email being sent out and no user created. The dropdown on the blog signup is the only thing that changed for me. (btw I like the dropdown). Also when I have “users can create blogs when signed in” option checked, it won’t allow registration at all. If that helps.

P.S. Just saw your hours of support at the top of the page. Sorry I’ve been a pest this weekend, forgot that others don’t necessarily work 7 days a week like me lol….(I’m crazy like that)
