Hello. my Kleo theme is showing that I do not have the buddypress plugin installed, eventhough it is. As a result, the members, group, activity and community pages are all showing blank. I had this problem before and one of your 7th queen team members helped me fix it- I gave them admin. access. can you please tell me how to fix this? Please see the error message below. Thank you.

Hello. I am having a weird situation with my site- the members, activity and community pages all went blank again. ( I had this problem before, but one of your team members helped me. I had to provide admin. access). Also, it shows that the Buddy press plugin is not installed- but it is. And when I try to install it again, it says that the link for that plugin already exists. Please give me some pointers on what to do. Thank you.

Hello. Thank you very much for the fixes on my site. The rev. slider is working well now, as well as the members, activity, group and other pages.

***But I still would like to have new members activate their membership from their email, without getting the error message that they should enter an activation code. I needed this so that I could reduce the spam users from signing up.

A little suggestion for the future:
    – Users still can’t add friends from their wall; they can only see their current friends. It appears that Kleo doesn’t support this feature for now. Please consider adding this in future updates.

Sir, I want to express my appreciation for the support that you give your clients. Kleo is a beautiful and well-designed theme and your commitment to helping your clients get their sites to function properly makes your professionalism even more admirable. I will continue to recommend the Kleo theme to even more people. Keep up the good work.

    Kind regards.

Hello. Thanks for asking; here are the concerns that I have on my site:

    1. The rev. slider is not working. It actually crashed by site, and I had to deactivate it in order to get the site back up. After the site was up and running again, I tried to reactivate the slider plugin, but it gave me a warning, so I left it alone. But I need the slider to work!
    2. Several pages are blank, like: members, activity, community and groups. How do I get these pages to show the necessary content? For example, I wanted to make the members page my landing page, but since it is blank, I decided to use members_masonry instead. Only problem is that the members_masonry page only shows some of the members, not all of them.
    3. Members can’t add groups or forums (only the admin. can). I have changed the settings to allow regular users to be able to add groups and forums but it still doesn’t work.
    4. When users click on the group name (from the side bar), nothing happens. The page stays blank.
    5. Users can’t add friends from their Wall or Timeline (there is no link here).
    6. I wanted the site to be a closed site, so that users had to register to be able to access the site. However, the email activation gives an error message- saying that the user needs an activation code. One of the Kleo support admins. on this forum told me that this is a typical buddy press issue. They suggested that I changed the activation action. I did that, but now I have a lot of spam, and I am not sure if the users I have on the site are real or spam. How do a fix it so that the users have to register, then activate the email that they received before they can access the site (without need of a an activation code, of course).
    7. I am curious: how can I get my users to see their “Wall” or “Timeline” upon signing up, or logging in, like in this link:http://www.mommysupermodel.com/members/nkeoklo/? This is a social site, and if users are not aware that there is a Wall that helps them navigate the site, how can they be expected to use it? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you have.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to your response.

Hello. I received the link to this thread as the main link for the questions that I posted on the support forum. I didn’t mean to ask the some questions over and over again. My apologies.

But you guys do not respond to a question for days or even weeks, then after that I would see that the topic has been marked “resolved”, when it really wasn’t. I only reposted the same questions hoping that I would hear from you. In fact, you guys have been silent for almost a month now (I was told that it would be resolved and that it was sent to a higher level of support, but still nothing happened. I had almost given up hope of hearing again from you guys.

I would appreciate your help in solving these issues, and I hope to hear from you guys shortly. Thank you.

Hello Laura. It’s been 4 days since you responded to my post on this forum. Am I to assume that the 7th queen support team is still working on my questions, or should I just forget about it? This problem is going on about month, and I haven’t been able to receive any help from you guys. This is certainly not the reputation of 7th queen that I heard about.

Is this problem too hard to solve, or am I being ignored? Please keep in mind that my site is a live site.

    Thanks

Hello. I am disappointed to say that none of the issues have been fixed. Only the administrators and moderators can “view” the members on the members page. The regular users/subscribers still can’t. I have decided to add the members masonry page instead, which shows the top and most active users. Somehow, the regular users can “view” this page. And from this page, they can add friends. The only problem is that the members masonry page doesn’t show all the users, only the most active ones.
    – the attachments you sent were from an admin. page- the admin. currently has no problem adding friends, groups, topics, etc. I have always stated that he problem is with the regular users, not the admin.
    – users (except the admin) still can’t add groups and topics.
    – the activity, community and members pages still show up blank, just like I have been saying for weeks now.
    – I have allowed users to register without the activation email, but I think that alot of spam users are getting through, eventhough I tried some anti-spam plugins. I plan on downloading a new one later today.

*** I still can’t fix the rev. slider.

**** New problem: when users attempt to login or when they exit, this message shows up: unused, error 418.

Forgive me if I say I am getting frustrated with this theme. It is a beautiful and well-designed theme, but it still has a lot of gaps in terms of delivering all that it promises. Thanks in advance for your efforts in helping me resolve these. 🙂

Hello Laura.  I had already upgraded to Kleo 4.0.4, and all the other plugins are up to date.  I’am looking into enabling the wp debug configuration.  In the meantime, please kindly use the admin. credentials that I sent you to look at the member, activity and community pages, as they are all still blank and users still can’t add friends, groups or topics.

I know you said that you had fixed it last time, but I never got to see that because the site crashed that same day and when it was restored, the changes you made were lost.  Also, I don’t know whether the disabling of the rev. slider affected some ff the changes you made.

    – I also noticed that when I allow users to register directly into the site without the activation email, I get alot of spam users.  I can’t seem to find a good spam plugin that won’t negatively intereact with other plugins that I need.  I am tempted to go back to using the activation email, but I understand that buddypress has a flaw in that area.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions that you might have.

    Thank you.

Hello.  My site is back up, but the rev. slider had to be deactivated- that is what was causing the problem.  However, I need the slider for my site.  Can you help?  I haven’t changed the login credentials for the admin. account I sent you.

    – Also, it looks like my site was restored from an older version- before you made the changes and now those changes  are lost.  So the members, community, activity pages are all still blank for the users (except admin.)

    – users still can’t add friends (except admin.), or add groups, forums, etc.

    – Also, how can I set it up so that when the user clicks on the “members” page, they this page will open up: http://www.mommysupermodel.com/members/”username”/

    – Without the above, users won’t even know that they have a page that contains things like their timeline, wall, friends, notifications, profile, groups, etc.  This is the heart of a community site- how can I set this up automatically?

Thanks, and I look forward to your response.

Hello. my site has been down for about 2 days- ever since my host did the maintainance work, I haven’t been able to log back in; so I haven’t been able to see the work you did. this is the error message you get when you enter my site’s web address:

Warning: require_once(/home/momsm/mommysupermodel.com/wp-content/plugins/revslider/includes/framework/include-framework.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/momsm/mommysupermodel.com/wp-content/plugins/revslider/revslider.php on line 59

-My webhost tells me the problem maybe caused by the slider revolution and other plugins. But this problem didn’t exist before the maintainance; what do you think? I can’t even log into my site! Do you have any suggestions?

Hello. I installed the BP Disable activation reloade plugin, but I was still getting the activation errors from members who received activation codes in their email inboxes. I only solved that problem when I changed the activation page from “activate” to “members”. Please let me know if there is a better way to do this. This is not the optimal solution for me, because like I said, the members, activity and community pages are all blank.

    Thanks.

Hello. Here is the admin credentials you requested:

    username: seven_admin
    password: pRNi@D0L6(sSX!hCcj)M9Psn

When I said I still can’t add the username on the tool bar, this is what I meant: when a user logs in, I want their user name to be seen at the top right hand part of the page, like it does for the admin. And this is why I’m asking that: because the activity page does’t show the user’s profile. If it did, I won’t be asking to do that.

    – The members, activity and community pages are currently blank, and they all default to the membership account/membership level page which is also blank.
    – After the user logs in, I want it to default to their profile page which shows their activity, notifications, friends, accounts, etc. But I can’t seem to fix this.
    – There is also no link to add friends, groups, forums or topics.

    – Please also suggest some plugins that I can download, because the site is currently too slow.

Thanks for all your help, and I look forward to seeing the corrections.

    Regards.

Thank you, but you didn’t answer my question on how users (subscribers) can add friends, groups, topics, forums, or send a private message. I have activated all these options, but still can’t see a link that allows users to do the above tasks. Even in your demo, I donot see a link to add friends, groups or forums. I know how to add groups as an admin., but how can the regular user do this? The admin can even add friends.
    – Also: where is the title attribute? The current version of Kleo is a little different from documentation link that you sent ( https://archived.seventhqueen.com/documentation/kleo#menus).

Thanks in advance for your time.

Hello. I have a question regarding videos that I upload to my site using rtMedia: how do I get the videos to automatically play when the post is uploaded? Currently, there is only a link that says “upload file”; it is only after the user clicks on this, that he/she can download and then view the video. How do I bypass this and have the video play automatically?

    – Also, is there is way to have the user’s name and avatar to show at the menu bar like it does for the admin. and editors?
    – I had sent a question earlier asking how I can get the user’s activity stream or the member’s page to show? LIke in this demo page? http://seventhqueen.com/themes/kleo/members/kleoadmin/. I have tried using http://www.mommysupermodel.com/members, but it doesn’t work- it simply takes me to the membership levels, which is a blank page. Is there some short code or plugin that I can use?
    – Also, once logged in, how can user’s access their personal activity page? As it stands, most users do not even know that there is such a page, and this kind of defeats the whole idea of a community site.

I will greatly appreciate your help in solving this problem. Thank you.

I have a different question: how can I set it so that after users log in, they are redirected to this page, like this Kleo demo seen here?:http://seventhqueen.com/themes/kleo/members/kleoadmin/.
    – upon login I want the users to be able to immediately see the activity page/stream.
    – I have tried using http://www.mommysupermodel.com/members, but it doesn’t work- it simply takes me to the membership levels.

    Thanks again.

Hello. My site is a life site, so I’d be glad if you respond to my topics promptly. I thank you for the help thus far, but I need to quickly resolve this page 404 error problem. ALL the emails give a page 404 error. If a user registers to join the site, the page activation email link that they receive doesn’t work- it returns a page 404 error after they click on it. All other email activations have the same error. How do I fix this?
-Also, please tell me how to resend a new activation code to the users who had tried to log in earlier but failed.

This is an example of a link that a user who had registered a new account, received in their inbox: http://www.mommysupermodel.com/activate/5e60ec29ac72638b0320d5fa607d2f9a/. After they clicked on the link, that they got a page 404 error. This is a busy week for my site, and I would greatly appreciate it if you can help me resolve this problem as soon as possible. Thank you!

Hello. I think I’ll leave out the peters-login-redirect plugin for now; I have done everything you suggested, but it still doesn’t work. In fact, I was able to get the redirect to work using the login redirect and the home page redirect. The only problem I have is what happens after the user logs out: after the user logs out, I would like the page to return to the home page from which they originally logged in. That is currently not the case: if a user logs out now, the screen stays on the last page that the user accessed while they were logged in. Thus, users who are not logged in can see the site’s content, if they had logged in earlier.

    2. I also have a problem with one of our editors/contributors. When this contributor tries to add post an article (add new post), she gets this error message: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 94371840 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 6400 bytes) in /home/momsm/mommysupermodel.com/wp-admin/menu-header.php on line 161.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello. I have installed the Peters login redirect, and set up the restrictions for the various users and levels, but it’s still not working. It seems the site is not even recognizing the plugin. The restrictions that seem to work are the ones that I did from the theme options>miscellaneous page- but these are inadequate, as the user can still see the main menu and pages even after logging out.

After logging out, I want users to be redirected to the register page, where they originally signed in. But after logging out, this is the page that comes up:”http://www.mommysupermodel.com/home-2/?loggedout=true”.

    – Also, I tried implementing the menu restriction using the general-header-section.php file like you suggested; but I couldn’t find the wp-content/themes/kleo-child/page-parts/ page. It keeps giving me a page 404 error.

Thanks in advance for any hints/suggestions.

Hello. I have removed the featured image and set it up like you suggested, and it looks better. I’m almost done with fixing the login/logout pages. Quick question: is there a way I can limit who can see/access the main menu? Is it possible to set it up so that only the logged in users can see the menus? I can’t seem to find anything to that effect. I also noticed that Kleo regards users and members as different. Thanks in advance.

Apparently I had an older version of K-elements; I have upgraded, and everything is working just fine now. Thank you, so very much. I really appreciate you taking the time to walk me through this. This is just one more reason why I love this theme and will continue to recommend it to others. Thanks again, and God bless.

One little thing: I added a feature image on my register page, but it’s too large. I have tried resizing it, reducing the padding for the main menu/header, but nothing works. I would just like to reduce the image so that users don’t have to scroll down to see the login links. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Here’s my url:

I followed the directions on the link above; unfortunately the Kleo theme wasn’t among the list of available theme updates- the only theme listed was Twenty Sixteen, together with some other plugins. Ok- I will delete the duplicate pages; ;hopefully I won’t lose important info, or affect the performance of the site in any way.
