Participant@reflectgrowth are you hosting at WPEngine? If so you should have them remove some urls for these areas of your site that they are caching. aside from that and the heartbeat api issue the only other things I did was to remove plugins that were doing caching and minifying and my issues were solved.

ParticipantI also need to do this and was hoping to get assistance in altering the member-loop.php to make the number of members displayed per row to 5, 6 or 7 depending on what the clients decides on. Can you help in altering the code to do this?
ianll
ParticipantHi Laura,
You you mind posting the code for me? I’d like to do this myself due to the stage in the process I’m at with the client. Thank you.ianll
ParticipantI want to have a custom link in my main nav that only displays to logged in user of membership level 3. The rest of the menu all user should be able to see.
ianll
ParticipantI also cant seem to figure out how to get the tabs to display, have registered member types and assigned users to them. I can see them by accessing the url /users/artists in my case but no tabs. I am looking to access the tabs in the default member loop page assigned in BP.

ParticipantI added this file after update. I just went into the member-loop and removed the last active and latest update lines and altered the avatar size, should have just done this to begin with. Thanks!
ianll
Participantalso it was the member-loop file from @radu on this thread:
https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/member-customization
that was causing the issues with the groups profile header picture.ianll
Participantok so I tracked it down. I downloaded member-loop file created by one of your cohorts (maybe Laura) in the forums to try and alter the layout of the member cards. This file is causing the issue.
I have removed all the files that were not being altered, thanks.
Now I guess I’ll go back to this thread and see if I can get the best way to go. I think you actually directed me to this thread: https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/member-customization
I am ultimately trying to make the member cards (in the member directory, group members directory, etc.) look like the attached. Can you point me in that direction, normally I would start a new thread but this issue was caused by trying to make this happen:>
I do have the xprofile fields displaying now via a function…
Also need the CSS to remove the last update and last active from members profiles and member cards, if you can advise…Thanks @sharmstr

ParticipantCurrently all plugins are deactivated except included ones and the only file that is active in the child theme is the style sheet. I’ve also commented out all the style sheet updates that have been made so it looks like the style sheet added to the parent theme…
Issue still exists…
Please help @sharmstr
ianll
Participant@sharmstr I guess I was wrong, its back. Here is what I found – this is a theme issue, still exists when plugins are deactivate Here is what I am seeing, the full width cover photo is not displayed when using the KLEO parent theme but when I use my child theme it is displayed and then duplicated like the example image I have in the thread above. Would you help me out and take a look?
ianll
ParticipantThis was resolved by the support team at WPEngine.com making a change the the heartbeat functionality, this is ultimately what caused the multiple posts, not a cache issue…
ianll
Participantsure was, what the file – plugin to see which templates/parts are being loaded… Thanks
ianll
Participant@abe this plugin you suggested seems like it’s not a great option, I’m wondering if you might have any other suggestions?
I’d like to suggest that the sidebar selector on the edit page not be displayed on the pages in which it is not possible to use it on.
Thanks for your great work…

ParticipantHello, this is all working great for me, I’m now trying to figure out 2 things:
1) How do I add the icons for Soundcloud, iTunes, Instagram & Vimeo?
2) How do I use all of the official colored, small box style icons for each network?Can you help with this?
Thanks for this @sharmstr

ParticipantYes, I’ve update the profile page to use the 150×150 profile avatar and made it square. On the directory page that lists my members I would like to use a 150×200 dimension of the avatar. Can you help?
Thanks!
ianll
ParticipantIs it possible to extend this function to also include pulling a larger image for the member card.

ParticipantSorry if I was not clear:
We have a paid and a free plan. Members of free accounts are “fans” members of paid accounts can be 1) artist 2) promoter 3) venue owner. So we would need to create a paid plan for the 3 member types to use your suggestion.
The member directory is what I would like to show a filtered view of, allowing the visitor to see a page with members who are fans on one page and artists on another page and so on…
My thought is I can add a profile field that says I am a ____ with a drop down to select which of the 4 member types we are catering to. Then with this drop down field located on the member xProfile page I could create a page that shows all members and filter it by that field…
Will that github plugin you suggested allow this?
ianll
ParticipantThats a good point, the main reason is I have a music site where we have fanx, artists, promoters and venue owners. I’d like to be able to show member pages for the various types of members and allow some queries based on this as well; so for instance certain member types could join a group. Because we don’t have plans for each type of member this eliminates the option you suggested unless we create additional membership types.
Can you point me to some code that would work for a list of members by PMP level?Thanks for the suggestion..

ParticipantHey @Abe I’ve been search for this and am wondering how I can make my search page have the same results as the ajax search you have put together so well? I’d settle for removing the ability to hit the enter button on the ajax search so the user does not go to the wordpress results page. If I do it this way I’ll need to make the spinning circle have some text to say working while it is performing the search before the results or no results message is displayed. Any help here would be appreciated!

ParticipantI had to reopen this one. Please let me know you see this request as I’m not sure if you see reopened items. I just updated rtmedia again and now this issue is back. To make things more complicated I have also enabled a cdn on my hosting account. This is more complicated but also a good debugging clue because my staging environment does not use the cdn and I just copied my site over to staging and the issue persists.
Please have a look for me:

ParticipantWell my dev instance is no longer. I am sure it is the theme now as when I change to the 2015 theme keeping all plugins intact the issue continues and I worked with WPEngine for quite some time to ensure the activity stream is not cached and there is nothing else that they could do to help. Are other experiencing this? Have you seen this before or fixed it before??
ianll
ParticipantI read it @sharmstr thanks, maybe I should have phrased it differently. Maybe a suggestion based on the buddypress changes:
Some tighter alignment between member types in BP, members plugin and woo..Thanks

ParticipantA few questions with recent updates to BuddyPress and RtMedia and KLEO:
RTMedia has a new beta version out where they have removed the foundation framework (woot!!) is this new version of KLEO updated to coincide with the beta version changes in RTMedia?How about the changes in BuddyPress as they relate to the membership plugin functionality – anything there???

ParticipantI have just verified the /activity/ url fragment is not removed from the Wpengine cache on my setup. I also just verified when I change the theme to 2015 this is not an issue…
ianll
ParticipantAll non bundled plugins have been disabled and and the problem persists. The only code in my functions file is the code required for wpengine.com:
/** below added from support thread found at https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/attachment-and-post-buttons-for-whats-new-posts-on-groups-were-hidden#post-32642 */add_action( ‘wp_enqueue_scripts’, ‘load_buddypress_js’ );
function load_buddypress_js () {
if (bp_is_group() || is_page( ‘activity’ )) {
wp_enqueue_script(‘buddypress_query’,plugins_url() . ‘/buddypress/bp-core/js/jquery-query.min.js’,array(“jquery”));
wp_enqueue_script(‘buddypress_members’,plugins_url() . ‘/buddypress/bp-core/js/widget-members.min.js’,array(“jquery”));
wp_enqueue_script(‘buddypress_cookie’,plugins_url() . ‘/buddypress/bp-core/js/jquery-cookie.min.js’,array(“jquery”));
wp_enqueue_script(‘buddypress_scroll’,plugins_url() . ‘/buddypress/bp-core/deprecated/js/jquery-scroll-to.min.js’,array(“jquery”));
wp_enqueue_script(‘buddypress_js’,get_template_directory_uri() . ‘/buddypress/js/buddypress.min.js’,array(“jquery”));
}
}shpdev.wpengine.com
Any chance you could take a look?

ParticipantThis fixed the formatting problems which were caused by the VC picking up white space in the EM plugin shortcodes., renaming the classes and function fixed the bootstrap conflict…
ianll
ParticipantI have not but I have not enabled any new plugins since this issue arose, only altered some settings and added some css… Do you see any issues when you look at the page with inspector?
