At this point I’ll be honest and probably a little rude, so I apologize ahead of that … @Sharmstr has worked her tail off for this group and at one point created a brilliant integration solution for WC Product Vendors.

Why would you let that all go to waste when we’re comfortable with the KLEO theme and world simply like to have the vendor dashboard integrated into the user (BuddyPress?) account area for consistency?

I refuse to buy another theme to handle multivendor alone because I LIKE KLEO. It’s not a difficult integration, and it adds value to KLEO I’d you add it.

While 39 (so far) people have voted for this feature and heavy discussions have taken place to determine which solution to integrate, this isn’t just ME talking. It’s good for your theme and it’s good for the community.

There’s no reason KLEO shouldn’t be in the top 5 best sellers on Theme Forest. To get there means you have to work on keeping KLEO fresh, not creating another theme and “starting over”.

    Thanks For listening,

    Matt

I’m having similar issues with KLEO, Yoast SEO and Web 2.0 Directory Plugin for WordPress – basically, the meta-data is being defined by either KLEO or the directory plugin (they claim it’s the theme) and I have specifically defined completely different data for each listing via Yoast, but Facebook Debug is not seeing any of it.

I’ve turned off Social Share in KLEO settings, purged all cache plugins and browser cache, and somehow FB is still seeing the scraped data from the listing instead of the custom data I set via Yoast.

Any ideas of what I should look for in Firefox Inspector or if you’ve seen this happen with Yoast or W2-Directory? Any help or suggestions are much appreciated. I’ll have the site enabled overnights mostly until it’s ready to release, but it may be in maintenance mode during the day. Link is https://crestonswap.com

Thank you, @Robert. I appreciate and understand why you’ve come to this conclusion – though I believe it’s a major undertaking with so many details that I’m baffled why you would work so hard on it for one demo. Either way, best of luck and I’ll be following up with you in August. Until then, I’m sadly forced to use another theme to halfway do what I know KLEO could do if it were simply fully integrated with WC Vendors.

@Robert – is there any more news you can share with us about your planned multi-vendor integration?

I’ve had to switch themes while waiting for a solution for KLEO so I’m basically in a holding pattern and not using my KLEO license until I see what you have come up with.

    Thank you!

Same here – it may defeat the purpose of those in this thread to have to “attempt” to migrate from their current multi-vendor solution to a new one, unless we have a heads-up to what it’s based upon, or if it has similar functionality to the system we are currently using – to prevent client confusion, frustration during the conversion, etc.

absolutely! overlays, ajax, less borders/padding, fixed fly-out menu button (or + symbol?), less page reloading when ajax actions or modal overlays can accomplish the same task. And ALL of this would benefit the desktop user experience as well. Look at sites like Pinterest where when you click on a post, you get an expanded overlay and don’t actually leave the main page. Of course, we have “quickview” modals for products, but they need some responsive refinements and they would be very, very nice for regular posts as well, not just products!

Jumping in on this thread! I am considering either WC Vendors Pro or Dokan. I was originally leaning towards WC Vendors Pro but as I dug a little deeper it seems to be less stable, since it is so new. I am a relative newbie and am hoping for easy and stable out of the box. I found this page which compares the two. granted, it is put out by Dokan – but it still has a lot of valid points that are now making me consider Dokan (even thought Dokan is more expensive). Anyone have any experience or insight into this and Dokan integrates with Kleo?

    @kg
    – Dokan Pro has it’s own theme, so it defeats the point we’re trying to make here. They also have their own menu styling and navigation elements that I don’t believe will integrate with BuddyPress, and ultimately, into the KLEO member account page and tabs – which is what we’re trying to accomplish with WC Vendors. Basically, Dokan looks GREAT – but it doesn’t need to be, and possibly can’t be, integrated into the KLEO user account pages.

That said, as long as you create the pages needed for Dokan and throw the vendor menu elements into your menu bar, you should be good to go. For a deeper integration of a plugin that is making huge strides for only being out in Pro form since October, then WC Vendors is the best current solution and its on it’s 3rd release (they’re very fast at catching and fixing bugs and releasing updates!)

@Mchausse – the screenshots for vendor and order tabs shared on this topic are all that can be shared at the moment. I do not have this on a development or production site until @Sharmstr decides how she’d like to offer it. Her original plan was to offer vendor integration as a paid service outside of 7Q support. I imagine if enough of us vote on this, she may work something out with them to integrate it into KLEO. **SO PLEASE VOTE ABOVE** otherwise chime in on the conversation at: https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/wc-vendors-integration

Yes, this topic is called “Integration for WC Product Vendors and KLEO” not EDD. The only clarification we’re trying to make is that “WC Product Vendors” and “WC Vendors” are two completely different plugins. EDD and digital markets should have their own discussion for fairness.

No worries @Mchausse, I understood you completely.

    @Splendor
, I think you’re right on two points: 1) some of us may want a digital goods market and EDD is a great solution for that. WC Vendors is only limited to what WooCommerce is good at, and there are some decent add-ons from Woo and others that make digital goods easier to handle, track and license within WooCommerce. 2) i like the new vote feature in the KLEO forum but it would be nice to have an option to vote from a list of choices as well.

Scratching my head. Let’s just clarify a few things here:
    1) EDD is for digital goods, not t-shirts and products that ship unless they’ve changed something recently. We’re looking for a physical & virtual product solution.
    2) What add-ons or customization work would you need for WC Vendors? This ENTIRE discussion is in regards to voting for 7th Queen to integrate it for us. Free vs Pro is simply a matter of preference, not necessity.
    3) It was asked of us to decide on one (1) solution so that @Sharmstr or whomever does the heavy work on the integration would know what those of us who are voting for this feature would like. With that said, can everyone who voted (top of the topic page) reply with “YES” or “NO” in response to this question: is it safe to assume that “WC Vendors” found at wcvendors.com is your choice for an integrated vendor market tool for KLEO? (YES or NO)

Thanks guys, this will make it easier on the theme team.

In regards to add-ons and documentation for WC Vendors, there are actually several plugins that are compatible with it and they can be found on Code Canyon by searching WC Vendors or free via the WP repository by doing the same search. Also, wcvendors.com has detailed compatibility lists, forums and documentation to assist with special integrations – and it’s actually because of how open and willing they are to turn suggestions into available options that I have no problem paying for pro features or add-ons to support them for all of their hard work. 🙂

@Splendor – Yes, and to clarify my vote for a supported vendor plugin I’d like to make sure 7Q understands I mean the WC Vendors plugin found at wcvendors.com.

The reason i feel this is the best choice is because there’s an actively maintained free version that can be suggested with KLEO installs, similar to rtMedia is now. And a feature rich pro version in the works.

The other reason I like WC Vendors is because @Sharmstr has done a tremendous amount of integration work on this for me already and it looks very impressive so far. I hope 7Q and Sharmstr can work something out to bring this solution to those of us that need it. 🙂

WC Vendors is the best free and soon to have pro version of a vendors plugin and @sharmstr has already laid some impressive ground work to get this plugin integrated with KLEO. That said, my vote is for WC Vendors.

Still not working. I’ve tried 1024, !important and everything else I can think of.

Isn’t there a way to disable certain views or functions if the device is touch-enabled? Maybe the directive should be determined by that instead of screen width.

Again I ask, why is the NOT an issue with the “Bottom-Top” Product image effect? It only happens when “Fade” or “Left-Right” effect are used AND it only happens in landscape view (full screen mode) on touch-enabled tablets. When I change the tablet to portrait view (one-column responsive layout) the issue goes away.

    Thanks

Is there any acknowledgement of these responsive display issues or a suggestion to help me work around them? As it stands, I’m not able to use a three-column layout on product pages because of the same shortcomings with your responsive layout. When columns get to a certain minimum width, the product details should be forced to a one-column view. *I’m not referring to my widget side-bars, just the central product template.

If I can find a solution to this issue that would also work in the product-modal, I would consider this ticket resolved. Thanks! 🙂

I need to clarify my first point that the “Extra Product Options” plugin does now work in the KLEO theme. There are just a few responsive column width issues in product templates where certain screen sizes allow the details column to become far too narrow and thumbnail images are destroyed. Same issue on product thumbs in the cart page on mobile devices … the thumbnails drops to about 3px by 3px.

    Hi Abe,

Version 3.0.11 of EPO has a fix in place that prevents the old version of the WC variations plugin from breaking EPO’s conditional logic. I’m not sure what plugin this old JS is loading, or minified with (possibly Magnific??) but it slows page loads and causes other big issues, as seen here.

Steve was able to get EPO integrated with KLEO’s product quick-view modal, however, product image replacements do not work in quick-view because of the image carousel or whatever is running in the main image container, which overrides his script that follows woo-commerce guidelines for image replacements. In other words, something is messed up with this carousel and maybe it’s the culprit loading the bad JS for the first issue?

Can I just delete the Magnific, Carousel and other product-image-related plugins that KLEO bundles with the theme? I usually hide them with CSS anyway but I’d much rather not have them loading on my site.

    Thanks for your help. 🙂

I tried the 1024 and it still happens on all android devices, no matter what browser. Only happens with Fade & Left-Right image effects. Not an issue with Bottom-Top effect, which seems like a good effect to compare to if I knew which file or what to look for.

    Thanks.

BTW – Steve is looking into getting his plugin to work with KLEO’s quickview and if he makes it happen, this would be a pretty impressive value-add to the KLEO theme if SeventhQueen could include it with an extended license. Just saying! 😉

Hi Sharmstr! This just in from themecomplete (Steve) …

Found the cause of the problem.

On assets/js/app.js (or app.min.js) Kleo runs the variation plugin from WooCoomerce again. Note also that the one on the version you gave me is from an older version of WooCommerce and not from 2.3+. The problem with that is that every trigger on variations forms fires up twice. That is causing an incompatibility with the logic which I’m trying to solve at the moment. The thing though is that the variations plugin shouldn’t be executing twice. I really don’t know what purpose it serves. If it does serve some purpose for some occasion that is theme specific it should be done with a different way.

    Hi all,

This is still happening on a 10″ tablet (android) using both Chrome & Firefox browsers. (www.iowish.com) and I noticed it displays correctly when I switch from landscape to portrait mode and the columns change from 4 (normal) to 3 (responsive).

I’ve also changed the “991px” in the code to as low as 700px and it still doesn’t help.

    Any suggestions? 🙂

Too late. Only 7 days left to sell St Pats merchandise so scratch this. Might reconsider for June if I’m not moved to wpmudev’s marketpress system. Depends on how much it improves in ver 3.0.

    Thanks anyway.

No worries. I’m really hoping to have vendors ready for testing before farmers markets start back up in May, so that can wait.

The woo templates are more of an aesthetic issue than anything. It still seems to work but might cause some confusion having 3 proceed to checkout buttons on the cart page.

I hope things are smoothing out on your end. I’d be happy to help if you need anything other than coding or CSS.

I can sympathize with your brain-dead comment – after looking up at my messages I noticed I spaced off linking to templatera in an earlier comment. They did say they would look into a front end product template option, by the way – but that could be months down the road.

Anywho – thanks for looking out and hopefully those Woo 2.3 changes work out. TTYL

Well I think I worded this ticket wrong but I did find a conflict between Buddypress Cover Photo and Buddypress that has nothing to do with WooCommerce 2.3.

I”ll open a new ticket for that. 🙂
