as a side note, WooCommerce is stating that KLEO has outdated templates for WC 2.3.

*RESOLVED* – the latest update 3.0.4 of the EPO plugin seems to have fixed the conditional logic. Didn’t make much sense to me how the theme could cause it anyway.

Still not sure why the notification requests were/are happening on my test site though. What tool are you using to see those?

OK – cache purged, removed reference to any BP service in menus, changed refresh to 0, hopefully it’s gone now! :X

WHOA Thanks! I deleted the buddypress plugin altogether and verified that the refresh setting was set to 20000 (default) in theme settings. Is that an issue caused by the new version of BP?

Hmmm, I purged the nginx cache and it appears to be using KLEO now. Sorry for that.

Thanks for the update @Abe. Make sure to check the results of your customer satisfaction survey because I’m nominating @Sharmstr as 8th Queen! =)

Y’all are cracking me up! I think we owe @Abe and @Sharmstr (and anyone else involved) a round of drinks once we get our sites finished. Kind of like a cast party, haha.

Here’s an add-on to Visual Composer that might work for vendor submitted products called Templatera. It’s a template system and I can imagine the store owner creating templates for different product types and letting the vendor choose a template to fit their needs and just adding their info and images to it – viola!?

Not sure if that is what this is capable of, but for only $11 and with full integration into VC, it might be worth a try.

I guess I assumed it was a glitch while updating the software so it threw me off a bit. I can wait another week I guess. Not promoting my site till after the update though.

No problem and I knew this wasn’t the case! šŸ˜‰ I even submitted what I wrote for you to Envato’s “help line” and I have no idea if it submitted because I got an error after I submitted it. (that’s frustrating too, lol)

Seems Envato has some detail work to do on their messages – among other things such as how they cache links to software in our downloads lists. šŸ˜‰

Yeah, that would be up to 7th Queen. Not me.

understood. šŸ™‚ let me know if you’d like me to ask Sven what the options are and if I can buy a license that you can use for testing the integration.

back to the basic integration of WC Vendors though, I’m good with back-end access to product creation to start out with because I’m most likely going to be the one adding the products for my vendors initially – service upsell! šŸ™‚

I did see the themekraft plugin. I’m trying to come in a really low price point though. All of those plugins are $59. I’m trying to offer basic integration on the cheap

I hear that! Let’s just say I got ahead of myself a while back and let Sven know that I was trying to get WC Vendors integrated with KLEO and he’s interested in helping. (I was waiting for your call on that first).

Three suggestions regarding licensing his front-end form are: 1) we provide our own license as part of your integration service (or) 2) ask Sven what your resell options are so you can get a cut, (or) 3) look into an extended license for use in a theme extension for KLEO that is specific to vendor sites.

    =)

You know, the more I look at this and how it fits a specific demographic of Etsy/OpenSky/E-bay type store owners, I’m thinking you and Abe may want to consider this for a 3rd theme offering.?!

My suggestion would be to have an archive view of the products that is similar to how Pinterest does theirs with “sold by [vendor-name]” for products and modal quick-views of posts and products to prevent redirection from the archive page.

I’m using a free PayPal Express checkout & on-site credit-card plugin that would make checkout from the modal product quick-views super fast and easy because it adds a “checkout with PayPal” button next to the add to cart button. URL: https://wordpress.org/plugins/paypal-for-woocommerce/

Just my two cents worth – but I bet you’d sell a ton of these and change the landscape of online vendor markets if this packaged theme were available.

Many more ideas where that came from if you want to pick my brain.

There’s a plugin called WP User Frontend Pro by Tareq Hasan that WC Vendors gives instructions for creating a front-end product submittal form for vendors. I purchased the plugin and have not activated it so if you’d like to use it, let me know.

Going back through my emails I found something that may actually be better by a guy named Sven with Themekraft.com. He developed a BuddyPress + WooCommerce front-end product creator that is compatible with WC Vendors… https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddyforms-woocommerce-form-elements/ <— just an FYI, he calls it “WP Vendors” in the list of supported vendor programs. He means WC Vendors. šŸ˜‰

He also has a synchronization tool that helps integrate WooCommerce pages and plugins into BuddyPress … http://themekraft.com/store/woocommerce-buddypress-integration-wordpress-plugin/ <— this is a paid plugin along the lines of what you showed me in the screenshots above – so I’m not sure if it will help save you work or if it duplicates what you’ve already done.

    Have fun! šŸ™‚

@sharmstr – do you think it’s possible to have a plugin or other integration solution for WC Vendors on my site by mid February? Let me know what it will cost me for either solution when you have time to figure it out. šŸ˜‰

Also, any news on the KLEO’s next update release date? I’m looking forward to the woocommerce orders integration into user profiles, among a couple other things.

    No big rush, just wondering.

Here’s a link to my test site where you can see what I mean about the side menu + not changing and if you use a touch device, you will probably have trouble making the sub-menus collapse. (in case you weren’t able to replicate it yourself). LINK: http://test.iowish.com/shop/

Thanks for the update – I see that my other themes (X & North) came out with updates recently and still did not include the new version of VC, so I bet they’re having the same issues as you are. Seems like VC submits some pretty hazardous updates at times! šŸ˜‰

I’m having the same issues where I can only update the square profile image via the KLEO profile image changer but I think they are working this out for use in the next update. Basically what I was referring to is how great its potential is and that I’m glad it will be in the next release. šŸ™‚

sorry, the screencast doesn’t show what happens with touch devices, but it does show the styling issues and over-indentation of submenus.

I’m finishing up the details on my site before I add more products and release it and I can’t have submenus that don’t work on touch devices so I removed them until it’s fixed.

Can you reproduce a basic submenu on your test server to see what is happening? The screencast I provided shows exactly what I was referring to. šŸ™‚

    Hi HKN,

Since you have your theme settings > woocommerce > shop product columns set to 3, that makes the images display larger than you have catalog image sizes set to, which causes the image to blur when it’s expanded.

Go to Admin > WooCommerce > Settings > Products > and change Catalog Image Size to no less than 400×400. I don’t believe you have to use hard crop (I don’t and have had no problems).

You might have to follow this up by getting a plugin called Regenerate Thumbnails from the WP plugin repository. It works well and will regenerate all of your image thumbnails to fit the dimensions you have set in the area I mentioned above.

    Hope that helps!
