Hi Radu,

We couldn’t update the plugins on our live site and leave it down so we created a test site. When we updated the plugins we received the same error which can be seen here: http://test.inhouserecruitment.co.uk/

I have spoken to our server hosts and they believe the error is with the template:

I have checked php_errorlog from the public_html folder, and the most recent entries are both related to the template of the website. Here are the logs:

We had to restore the website on Friday, however it did start displaying the same error on Saturday as well so we had to restore it again.

Any idea to why this is happening?

I’m actually looking more at LinkedIn so I didn’t know if it would be any different to Facebook. Have you heard of this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/ it was suggested to help with all social sites.

Thanks, for this. Is there anyway of choosing which image is pulled through? It’s ignoring the logo in the header and any hero image and just going for the first image in the body, which isn’t ideal.

Hi Radu,

Many thanks for all your feedback, you’ve been a massive help. The way to stop a feature image from appearing in the main body of content seems to be:

PAGES – THEME GENERAL SETTINGS – MEDIA – SHOW MEDIA ON POST PAGE – SELECT “NO” (rather than ‘Default’)

Hope this helps future clients and thanks once again for your assistance with this.

Thanks Radu, its actually a Page not a Blog post. It doesn’t seem to allow a thumbnail image without uploading a featured image, which we’re trying to avoid as we’re embedding a video as well and this doubles up the content.

I have changed almost all settings back but the sign up page is not working so the work you did seems to have disappeared.

I wish there was a way of rolling back the site, plugins etc to a previous date but despite me running a site restore, it didn’t make a difference.

The main issue was that the changes completely throughout the mobile experience, plus there was some spacing issues. It’s not to say I’m not grateful for your help though however I should have give you access to the test site so we could tweak what was probably just a couple of small issues.

I couldn’t wait as I had a client going mad at me with the sitewide change.

Anyway, I tried to put it back by copying the parent ‘general-header-section’ back over the child equivalent but now I have no logo at all.

How can I get my old logo back please?

Thanks for your help however this has changed it for all pages of the site. Also it throws out the mobile responsive experience.

For now, would you be kind enough to put it back to where it was please? I’ll then run some experiments with your code on my test site.

Sorry for my delayed response Laura, I’ve been away. Thank for your continuing efforts though.

What I’d like is to have the site logo in the top left at all times, then the opportunity to have another logo (one of our sponsors) right along side it but for it to be separate so you can click, open a new page and visit their site.

What is really great, is that we can create event landing pages (such as this one). It’s just this little point we need to overcome.

If we can’t create an additional logo then I suppose we could just use the one that is there and combine the site logo with the sponsor logo image. But is there a way of making the link target=blank?

However we need the partner logo alongside the site logo as we’re running the event in association with them. It’s part of their contract unfortunately.

Shame the portfolio option is not more flexible. It just needs the ability to add a different menu

Also, it would be great to add text overlays to images say on a carousel or image gallery. That would have solved this for me also.

Hi, yes I’ve done that but what I want is to be able to see all the icons as a name isn’t sometimes, well, visual enough. Do you know where in the files there are kept please?

Also, (and this is a bug for sure) when choosing an icon, if you try scrolling through, thescroll bar and list of icons jumps back to the beginning which is really irritating. This is actually part of the reason I want to view them in a different format.
