SherryParticipant
@radu can you please suggest to us a list of options we have to use to create custom Forms besides WP USER FRONTEND PRO ?
Much appreciated !
SherryParticipantOr is there a plugin for Buddypress that can add notifications for comments and likes?
SherryParticipantCan you recommend other plugins as an alternative to Buddypress that are compatible with Kleo and send notifications for all activity? I was reading about one called “Ultimate Member” https://ultimatemember.com/creating-alternative-buddypress/, would that work with Kleo?
SherryParticipantWhat exactly does Buddypress log in the notification table in the database then? Only private messages and friend requests but no activity notifications like comments and likes? Because Kleo is advertised with a notification bell which people associate with notifications for basic things like comments and likes.
SherryParticipantI know but it seems strange that they have a “notifications bell” that always shows 0 notifications! If not for comments than for what are the notifications?

SherryParticipantHi again, so, I am in discussion with the Buddypress forum as well and they suggested to activate the TwentyFifteen theme and check there. With the TwentyFifteen theme activated, I get email notification but no in-site notifications. With Kleo activated, I don’t get any notifications at all (also not by email). Can you help me at least get the email notifications? Maybe I made some mistake that they don’t work at all when Kleo activated?
SherryParticipantI installed the plugin but it did not make any change. After deleting all images and adding new ones with different names, like you suggested, the problem was solved. Thank you!
SherryParticipantHi, my client has a managed WordPress hosting account with GoDaddy. The GoDaddy support told me that they save the cache and they have an integrated option to flush cache (which didn’t work on my page) so I don’t have to install another plugin. They said it takes time (around 24h) until the changes are visible on the online site. However it has been more than 24h and the old images are still there. I looked in the folders via FTP and there are 4 or 5 versions of the same image that was uploaded in the media library, among them also the old images which don’t appear in the library anymore via Dashboard. How about I delete those old images from the folders via FTP? Would that solve the problem or cause more things to break?
SherryParticipantOh, it works now! I had to log out and then the login link was there in the nav bar! After logging in it now redirects to the correct page. Thank you so much!

I added the Kleo login to the menu and deleted the one I created, but now it doesn’t appear anymore on the website. I might have deleted that page when creating the new one. I created new pages because the ones that already existed were “custom links” not “pages” and were not appearing on the website nav bar. Probably, like you say, I am too new to the theme and to WordPress and I did things the hard way instead of using the pre-made pages.
SherryParticipantIt makes sense, thank you for the detailed answer! Please have a look at my website, there might be a connection with my other question about the login page. I don’t get any notifications at all, also not by email.
SherryParticipantThey log in via http://dexterlist.com/login/ AFter filling in the username and password and clicking “log in” they get redirected to http://dexterlist.com/wp-admin/profile.php which is a complete blank page. When I go back in the browser to http://dexterlist.com/login/ or go to dexterlist.com it shows the page with the logged in user.
SherryParticipantSorry, I attached the wrong screenshot.

On the BuddyPress forums there are answers since 2 years ago, they recommend the plugin “Buddypress activity comment notifier”. I searched for that plugin and it was not updated since February 2014! What solution do you suggest for this?
SherryParticipantI changed the theme options login redirect to “reload current page” and it is still a blank page.

SherryParticipantI have same problem with adding text under each image in an image gallery. Do you have a suggestion? Thank you!
SherryParticipantI solved the second question, and for the first one I can use the normal “edit page” which is still ok and quick.
SherryParticipantIt doesn’t, because all items are in an image carousel row. I can add text directly on the image with Photoshop if not possible underneath. Another question: I resized the images to have the same height but their still appear having different heights in the carousel. How can I fix that? Sorry for all the questions but I am new to Kleo and its plugins (and fairly new to WordPress too).
SherryParticipantHi Laura, thank you for the advice. I created a row with 4 columns now (see dexterlist.com), but how do I add more pictures and create a slider with 4 pictures on each slide, just like in the example on http://themekit.aws.ipv4.ro/dist/themes/music/index.html where you can see more pictures when clicking on the bullet point below? I tried using the image carousel but it’s not working the way I would like the page to be. Thank you!
