Thanks Kieran, I had already tried those two things, did it again now just in case I missed something….still nothing. The keys are correct and disabling Askimet doesn’t do anything.
Here is my registration page:
http://craftbeermingles.com/register/
Anything else you can suggest that I can try?
Cheers!
vcarltonParticipantGreetings,
I installed and activated reCAPTCHA and add the API keys as instructed, but it is not showing on the registration page.
I also have WangGuard and Askimet activated.
What should I do in order to have the captcha showing on the registration page?
I appreciate any help. Thank you, Veronica.
vcarltonParticipanthow do I create a custom template with the child theme? it would be great to have them saved so I don’t have to make the changes every time I update the theme.
vcarltonParticipantI think that this is what you are looking for:
go to your dashboard > Sweetdate > miscellaneous > and update your user name (the same one from the Themeforest site, where you purchased Sweetdate from) and API key
Themeforest Username
To automatically get theme updates you need to enter the username and API KEY from your themeforest accountIf you don’t know how to find your API Key, just google it and you’ll find instructions, it’s easy.
Once you do this, whenever there is a new theme version, it will show on your dashboard under theme updates and you can just click “update”….but remember that every time you install a new theme version, it will over lap changes you might have done to php files, so you’ll have to do those changes again..for example: I changed the way the number of members show on my main page, so if I install a new theme, I have to modify the php file again. I hope this makes sense.
Good luck with it!
I hope this helps.
vcarltonParticipantHi mgn841,,,,,,I had a note above of how I found it, message dated March 14: “I found it under Sweetdate > Memberships”,,,,when you are there, under the restrict members directory I selected “restrict certain levels” ….and then under “choose levels to restrict” I picked both “not logged in” and “not members”…voila! 🙂
Cheers, V.
vcarltonParticipantHi there Ted…I was looking to do the same on my site and I think Abe meant to say to “hire” a developer….I don’t want to pay anyone to do this for me, so a work around that I did was to transfer all the fields from each additional profile group into the base/primary profile group, that way everything appears on the sign up page and also when members’ are looking at each other’s profiles….I renamed the “base profile” and deleted the tabs with the additional profile groups. Anyway, I thought I’d share.
Cheers, Veronica.vcarltonParticipantAbe,
I’ll reply with my usual professional words, quite frankly I felt offended with your assumption that I don’t carefully read your responses. You don’t know me and I understand that sometimes meanings can get lost in words when communicating via email, but please know that I always try to research and do things independently, and only if I get stuck I reach out to customer service/support like you.

1 do it with pmpro plugin and set the restrictions from Theme options – MembershipsSo if you had taken an extra few seconds to type “Paid Membership Pro plugin”, I would have known right away because I already have it installed as it is part of the Installation Tutorial video, which I’m sure you are aware of.
I understood that you were talking about something else and even said:

1 – I installed pmpro woo-commerce (I wasn’t sure which pmpro plugin you were referring to)I searched for “pmpro” on the “add new” plugin field, I didn’t come up with anything by myself, I was trying to follow the instructions, which seemed unclear to me, reason why I asked for further clarification.
Anyway, bottom line is that I found it under Sweetdate > Memberships. I’m a beginner user and not an expert like you, so if you say “theme options > memberships”, my initial understanding was to look for “theme options” and not under the theme “Sweetdate” options.
On a side note, I most certainly understand and respect all of our valuable times (yours, mine and other users) and, trust me, the last thing I want to do is ping-pong with responses, therefore I’d request that they are composed in a clearer manner. I’ve read many responses on the support pages and see a lot of back and forth because of the lack of clarity, especially for beginner’s users. Besides the Installation Tutorial video, I haven’t seen a user manual with instructions on how to manage Sweetdate (please let me know if there is one), something that would be extremely helpful and would definitely save everyone a lot of time instead of relying on posts on the support pages.
This issue has been solved so please feel free to close this topic.
I look forward to keep doing business with Seventh Queen.
Thank you for your time.
Veronica.
vcarltonParticipantI didn’t remove anything, I added the “end” before logo, as per your instructions…..what you see on the site now is a picture with the writing that I uploaded via Sweetdate > general settings.
If I have to type it up in the php file, I don’t know where and which codes to add.
Please advise. Thanks!
vcarltonParticipant1 – I installed pmpro woo-commerce (I wasn’t sure which pmpro plugin you were referring to) and I can’t seem to find where the theme options – memberships are to set the restrictions, could you please let me know with more details? Once again, I would like to set up the site so that members can see full members profiles (with all profile groups), and non members are directed to a sign up page to see profiles….please clarify, I’m a beginner and need more detailed info….thank you!
vcarltonParticipant– cool, thanks! the columns worked great!
– how do I add text to the area where the logo was?vcarltonParticipantHi…if I do that, it puts a blank rectangular box on the page, my work around works best by uploading a jpeg file with a white blank background…..
But then, even with your work around, that area is a dead space on the site and my menu is sort of compressed from the middle to the right hand side….is there a way to use that space?
vcarltonParticipant1 – to clarify: I’d like members to see other member’s profiles……and non members to NOT see profiles but bring them to the sign up page….thanks.
vcarltonParticipant1 – ok, got it. do members have to be “friends” in order to see each other’s full profile? how can I make it so I can see someone’s full profile? members to see other members’ full profile?
2 – I didn’t understand your answer “individual field will not be shown but not the whole group”, could you please clarify?
Thanks!
vcarltonParticipantI’m showing zero pending activations there…..I have over 500 new members notifications but showing 325 members on the main page….what should I do next?
vcarltonParticipantHi there…I deleted the browser cache and it didn’t work, the 4U heart is still showing on the main page….please advise what else I should do in order to remove it. craftbeermingles.com
Thanks!vcarltonParticipantLike I said, I ended up uploading a “blank” picture over it, so it won’t show, that’s why you can’t see…….I didn’t want to leave the heart showing, but I guess I’ll so you can see what what I mean….please check out the page again and me know at your earliest convenience….http://craftbeermingles.com/
Cheers, V.
vcarltonParticipantThe puglin is activated, but I can’t seem to find where I can see the not activated members…..could you please let me know?
And when I’m able to see them, what can I do about it?
Thanks!
vcarltonParticipantNevermind guys, I found it…..Sweetdate > Buddypress …..cheers!
p.s.: I didn’t see a spot to delete a post, reason why I replied to it.
vcarltonParticipantHi there…..I’m having the same issue, I downloaded and activated the plugin above but the total # of members on the main page hasn’t changed, what am I missing? Thanks!
