ParticipantHi Radu / Kieran,
I was just about to update you but can see you have seen we have made good progress.
The host server made a couple of adjustments to get it back, one of which was a javascript setting in the home slider.
There are a couple of small things that need fixing but will come back to that at a later date as a big football tournament is starting today.
I’m just so pleased to have the site looking back to normal 🙂
Thank you both for taking a the time to look and help, I will keep you updated when the whole process is completed.
Barney
ParticipantThanks Kieran, much appreciated.
The host are saying they are getting a better view of the site, they said:
I had to enabled “Developer Mode” and “Remove query string” options again under Theme Options.I have removed all browser cache etc but I am still seeing problems from my view, but when I log in, it displays well and seems to work.

Hello Gina,
I have enabled “Developer Mode” under “Theme Options” >> “Miscellaneous” , which has made the admin panel look correct for me, and when testing the site further, the only pages I see deformed currently are https://www.womenssoccerunited.com/groups/fifa-under-20-womens-world-cup/ and https://www.womenssoccerunited.com/contact/
Please ensure that you test the site after flushing your browser cache, and possibly after logging out so that you see the visitors experience.PS. Please can you make my previous reply on this forum as private, I forgot to click the button. Or delete if you read it, thank you. Gina

ParticipantHost company latest replies:
I have been able to reduce the number of “Refused to apply style from ‘<URL>’ because its MIME type (‘text/html’) is not a supported stylesheet MIME type, and strict MIME checking is enabled.” errors, by disabling the “?v=4.1 query strings” from the kleo theme options, and commenting out the “AddType text/html css” entry in /home/womenssoccerunit/public_html/.htaccess , however some are still occurring.
Additionally, I do still see signs of the W3TC installation remaining such as entries in the /home/womenssoccerunit/public_html/.htaccess which could certainly be contributing to remaining issues.
I do believe minification was enabled, though I am having to search through WordPress admin to find exactly where.
If necessary, we can roll back to the old server, however I am sure these remaining issues can be resolved.Barney
ParticipantThank you so much for taking the time to reply, I have shared with the host.
I am freaking out with worry.
Basically, on Sunday the site started to get slow and unresponsive so I contacted the host for them to check the RAM and they wrote back to say:
I have met with an error in nginx, have now switched your webserver back to apache, site is back online as I can see. This caused an issue with the CSS in the dashboard area when editing posts.
My host server said it was the memory issues causing the problems I’m seeing and recommended that it would be better to migrate the site and do the Litespeed thing, which is what they did today.
Now, I am in an even worse place and the host company don’t seem to know how to fix it.
Barney
ParticipantHello Kieran,
My server has moved the site to Litespeed but now it doesn’t display correctly.
This is happening with Apache and LiteSpeed. As such I have left the site running on LiteSpeed BUT with all caching disabled for now.
Are the styling and menus something that can be fixed/regenerated within the theme itself?
Please can you help.

ParticipantOk thank you Kieran, I will have a test with that.
I will check with my server about the Redis Cache as well, I know that it runs on Redis.
Have a lovely day, thank you again.

ParticipantThank you Kieran.
I could’t find that setting, but I did find this option, would this help (disabling it):
Reduce server load and decrease response time by using the cache available in site visitor’s web browser.Browser Cache: Enable
Enable HTTP compression and add headers to reduce server load and decrease file load time.If that doesn’t work. Do you have any recommendations of another cache plugin that will work well with your theme. I don’t want to compromise the speed and I’m sure it was when we added W3 Total cache that made the big difference in speed.
Thank you again for your time.
Barney
ParticipantThanks Kieran, much appreciated.
I will share this information with the host company before they migrate.
All the best, Gina
Barney
ParticipantHi Laura, it was a HTTPS issue. It is all working again now.
Thank you for your time.Barney
ParticipantHi Laura,
Thank you for your reply.
It appears to have been an issue caused by the HTTPS change!
It is working again now. All the best.
Barney
ParticipantBrilliant, thank you I’ll check those out and see if it’s worth changing.
All the best.
Barney
ParticipantThanks Kieran, what would be the best process to manually approve new users.
I am using PM Pro.
I have New User Approve plugin from the older version of the website should I continue with that or is there something better that comes with theme.
Barney
ParticipantYes, I have posted there 🙂
Thank you for your kind comments and for a great theme with wonderful support.
I’ll try the duplicate from test onto the live.
All the best.
Barney
ParticipantThanks Kieran, I was just happy to show off the site 😛
No, I replicated the steps and installed it live, so I may have missed a setting, I’ll double check.
Is it possible to delete the News Magazine slider and import it again from demo data to start fresh?
If you want a quick look on test, I have turned on database: https://new-theme-test-biljana88.c9users.io/
Barney
ParticipantAh wonderful Kieran, thank you so much.
It’s just I have now made the site live! Which I love!
But the slider revolution is not displaying the correct category I selected in the settings. It works on the test site but not on the live.
I wondered if it was because of update.
If you would like to check out my site, here it is: http://www.womenssoccerunited.com/

ParticipantThanks Laura. 🙂
My community has settings that you can not post comment unless you are a registered member. Do you think a spam plugin will still be worth while, I guess it will help with spam login attempts?Barney
ParticipantThanks Laura! Sorry, I know it’s a pain on the test server.
I have gone back to an older version of Kleo and I have the same issue (which wasn’t there before) so I’m guessing it must be something I have added.
I have managed to use some CSS to bring it back. As long as it is functioning, maybe you can take a look when the site goes live, so it will be easier than on test!
If I run into major issues (like I can’t get it to function so can’t launch site) then I will come back with a time in EST to see if you can take a look.
Thank you for your time as always.
Barney
ParticipantSorry Laura, my internet connection drop out midway through a process and I think this is what caused the issue. I have reinstalled today and tested and it works.
Barney
ParticipantHi Laura,
Apologies about that, I left the database on for 3 hours last night at time of reply (JUNE 26, 2018 AT 22:33) but couldn’t stay awake any longer!
Are you going to be looking now? Or can you estimate the time you will look so I can turn it on for you.
Thank you.
Barney
ParticipantHey Laura,
I’ve just loaded it up, you should be able to access now (may need to click open app or something if it pops up)
Thank you
Barney
ParticipantHi Laura,
Thank you for your reply.
The site is on a test server so if you can not access can you let me know when you try so I can make sure the database is running.
https://new-theme-test-biljana88.c9users.io/
It might come up with a screen where you need to click the button ‘Open the app’.
You can use these details to login:

ParticipantThanks Laura, I think it was difficult to explain over text lol.
I have found the format to recreate, it was the Kleo Carousel.
Thank you again for your time and help.
Barney
ParticipantThank you. Nothing is not working.
I just want to know what options create that feature so I can replicate it on another page.Is it a ‘News Focus’ or a ‘Grid…’, etc.
I want to have the news displayed on my homepage in that style but I am unsure what option I need to choose from the visual composer to accomplish this.
Barney
