UPDATE:
Hi Radu,
Problem solved. It was related to a plugin (http://gt-vouchers.com/) that I was having difficulty updating. However, I was able to update it, and that solved the problem.
Thanks for everything my friend.
Hope you’re well!
🙂
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @radu
No, if I deactivate Kleo Child Theme, and activate Kleo Parent Theme, the error is not fixed. It still duplicates the “Upload” link.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHey @radu
News to this support ticket…
With the recent rtMedia Plugin update, now the “Upload Media” link duplicates several times in the Activity Update field (see attached).
I tried removing the CSS code you provided in this support thread. I thought that might correct it, but removing your code causes the link to disappear completely.
Any ideas?
Thanks my friend for all your help!

Okay that worked, but wondering why it happened in the first place? I use Sweet Date in other websites and don’t have this issue.
Thanks!
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHello!
You mind sharing the solution here so we can all learn from it?
Thanks!
jwchameleoncorpParticipantOkay, but right now if they sign up using the modal, they are redirected to the default Buddypress Register page, after clicking the modal submit button.
How do I change the setting so they are redirected to the PMPro Membership Levels page, instead?
Thanks Laura!
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi!
Is this the Front End Publishing Pro you are talking about? https://codecanyon.net/item/frontend-publishing-pro/8517990?ref=khaxan
If so, does it integrate into a User’s Buddypress profile, like Social Articles?
Thanks!
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHmmm…
Well how about this for a work around?…
I found a plugin that allows me to tweak User Role privileges. No any role can create an article, including Subscribers. So that’s solved.
Regarding the Portfolio Category issue…
1. Do you really need Portfolio, in order for members to post pics? I mean, can’t you do the same thing with a regular post?
2. Is there a real difference in the functionality or display between a Post or Portfolio item?
3. If I created a category called “Pictures” under posts, and a member selected that category when creating their article, wouldn’t it still post the picture to that category, just like a Portfolio item?
I guess I’m just not sure if there is a meaningful difference between a Post or Portfolio item. It seems like I can accomplish the same thing with just a Post. Am I missing something?
Thanks @laura
Cheers.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantAhhh, okay. You learn something everyday.
Now that I know that, is there a way to set the default membership level to “Author” when someone signs up?
Thanks @laura 🙂
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @laura
Thanks for the explanation. After checking it out, it looks like you can create categories for “Portfolio”. If that’s true, can I use it in the following way?…
I’d like Buddypress Members, with the role of “Subscriber”, to be able to use Social Articles to upload a photo. When they upload the picture, and select a specific portfolio category, will their picture automatically populate to that category, and display on that category page?
I hope that makes sense.
Also, do you have a tutorial or example of how it is implemented and used?
Thanks for all your help 🙂
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @laura
I want to style my search results page also.
I tried the settings you provided in this support ticket, but my results do not display the way the settings are saved.
Settings are (see snapshot):
1. 3 Column layout
2. StandardHowever, there are no columns at all on my search results page. (See attached snapshot.)
This only happens with the search results page. You can go try it for yourself here: http://5firemen.com/?s=house
However, category archives display perfectly. Here’s an example: http://5firemen.com/category/articles/ or look at the attached snapshot.
Am I missing something?
Thanks!

I’ll try to edit the header.php file myself. Is there a tutorial, or another support ticket that gives instruction?
Thanks!
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHmmm…then how’d those files get in my Kleo child theme? I installed the one that came with the file download, and I don’t remember adding them. Just trying to figure it out so it doesn’t happen again on another site I create. Cheers my friend.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @laura
Added it to the child theme style.css, and it worked perfectly. Thank you!
Have a Merry Christmas!
Cheers. 🙂
jwchameleoncorpParticipantSweeeet! Thanks Radu!
You think we could fix that child theme bug, in a future Kleo update?
Have a great weekend and Merry Christmas!
Cheers.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @radu
Yep, as mentioned in the second message in this thread (#146049), I know it’s a child theme issue.
However, I’m not sure I understand your instructions for solving the issue (prefixing?). I’m doing my best, but understanding code is not my strength.
Also, see reply 147185 (above). That’s all the code in my child functions.php file. As you can see, per our discussion, I already tried commenting actions or/and functions, but was unsuccessful.
Can you give a little more guidance please, and I will give it a try.
Cheer my friend.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @laura
Wow! It looks really good! Thank you!
Two more questions and I think we’re done.
1. Is there a way to put the “Notifications” up in the “Profile/Logout” drop down menu? See attached snapshot.
2. I have another Sweetdate site I want to add the exact same changes too. Can you tell me where you put the code so I can copy/paste it to the other site, too?
Thanks again Laura. You are always such a help. 🙂
Cheers.

jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @radu
Update to my last reply (which includes your FTP credentials.)
I started a support ticket in Buddypress.org/support – https://buddypress.org/support/topic/buddypress-cover-photo-does-not-save/#post-262223
Take a look and you’ll see that another user had the same problem with their child theme. They found a solution that worked for them. See the code @pare81 shares in his last reply.
However, I added the code to my child theme functions.php file, but was NOT successful.
Does any of this make sense to you?
Cheers!
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @radu
Thanks for the code. I placed it in the Quick CSS.
See snapshots for results.
As you can see, the Cart and Notification icons are gone from the logo area (perfect), but now they do not appear anywhere. The intent is to have them display in the Top Menu (where the red arrows are), so it displays like the desktop.
I checked the profile toggle menu, and the main menu, but the icons are not there either (as you can see in the snap shots).
Do I need to add something to the code?
Thanks a ton for your help!
Cheers.
