Yep. I was just making a suggestion to add it as a feature in the future. 🙂
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @laura
I think I figured out a work around by using the Site Origin Builder carousel. Let’s see how it goes as I continue to develop the site. I’ll keep you posted.
Cheers! 🙂
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @laura
Loco Translate looks interesting, but after reviewing the plugin, I have a question.
I plan on making the website multilingual using something like WPML. If I use Loco Translate to do renames, will it affect or conflict with the ability for WPML (or a similar plugin) to do it’s job of translating those renames into other languages, on the site?
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @laura
Yeah I understand that Buddypress adds menu links to the WP Menu Dashboard, but you can’t (at least not that I’m aware of) control or create menu items from the WP Menu Dashboard for the Sweet Date Profile/Login drop down button.
Am I correct?
jwchameleoncorpParticipantNo. I mean the fields in the drop down menu between the “Profile” and “Sign Out” button (once you’re logged in). If that drop down menu could be integrated into the native WP area for customizing and setting up menu’s, that would be pretty sweet.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @laura,
I’d like to add a couple more things:
1. Would it be possible to reorder the items in the drop down menu?
2. Would it be possible to create sub-menu items? Example:
My Classifieds > Place a classified
> Renew a classified
> Edit a classifedAs always, thank you for all your work!
jwchameleoncorpParticipantAlso, per your reply, I do not want to delete any of them, but I would like to rename some of them. Particularly:
Under the Profile Dropdown:
1. “Activity” to be change to “My Activity”. Otherwise there is confusion as to whether it means Sitewide Activity
2. “Groups” to be change to “My Groups.” For the same reasons.
Thanks for the help.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @laura,
Never mind. It wasn’t the code that crashed the site. The plugin WP Rocket crashed the site. I disabled the plugin by renaming the folder and the code works. Do you know if there is a compatibility issue with the plugin?
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHere is how my site looks now (see attached)

Okay, I added the code as suggested and it crashed my whole site! Getting a bit frustrated.
Here’s the code and a snap shot of the editor AFTER putting it back to the way it was before adding the code. Even after deleting the new code, it does not work!
COPY CODEadd_filter('header_profile_dropdown', 'my_profile_link'); function my_profile_link($links) { $links[] = '<li><a href="http://mydomain.com/help" rel="nofollow">Help</a></li>'; return $links; }

jwchameleoncorpParticipantOkay, I’m getting closer to completing the new set up. I will circle back with you about this when I upload it live to the new host.
Thanks.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @jenny555
Yep, I already did those steps. The last picture I attached were the results.
Thanks,
Jeff
jwchameleoncorpParticipantJust following up on this. I tried the code and got the follow results (see attached)
Not sure why things aren’t displaying correctly, and why the circles around the group avatars on the Home Page are not outlining the avatars correctly.
@laura – is there a way to display the Recent Groups on the Home Page in a carousel that rotates right or left?Thanks for your help you guys. 🙂

1. BP Profile Tabs display at the bottom
2. Quick Profile Navigation does not display right.It’s almost as thought the website is too narrow for the content format, and is compensating by putting the content below.
Thanks for your help.

Okay then, I found a pic of a couple I want to use. However, I looked in the wp content > sweet date > images folder and can’t find the image for the back drop. Can you tell me where I might find the raw photo of the back drop I’m using?
Thanks!
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi Laura,
Never mind. I reviewing it and it looks like the slogan is about even with the menu items, which is a natural fit and makes it looked balanced. Thanks for your help! 🙂
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi Laura,
Thanks for the code!
However when I tried it, it didn’t seem to change the size of the logo. Here is what I put in the style.css of the child theme:
/*
This code changes the size of the header logo
*/
#logo {
max-height: 131px;
width: 557px;
}The dimensions in the code I pasted here are bigger than I want. I tested several different sizes just to see if I noticed a difference.
Did I make an error somewhere?
Thanks for your help,
Jeff
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi Laura,
Yep, I ended up installing the plugins via the Network Admin Dashboard, but that required me to download/install them individually/manually.
Normally that happens automatically since they are bundled/installed with Sweet Date installation. It wasn’t a problem, with one exception. I could not download/install the Revolution Slider manually without paying for it. This doesn’t happen on a non-multisite installation since all plugins are bundled with the Sweet Date installation.
I haven’t paid for the Revolution Slider yet, as I was hoping you might have a solution?
Thanks for your help,
Jeff
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi Laura,
Okay, I got a stock photo I want to use. As you can see on my website, I already have the background set. How did you guys lay the image of the couple over the background? Did you use layers with Revolution Slider? Did you simply photoshop them together?
Thanks for the guidance.
Jeff
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @Andrei
I just tried it and it worked fine. Laura from your tech support team has also used the login successfully. Please try again.
Thanks!
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHello,
I think I’ve pretty much worked through everything and pieced together the “Wide” Demo Version. 🙂
There are only a couple items that I can’t seem to figure out:
1. There is a thin blue line that lines the bottom of the top menu bar. I can’t seem to eliminate this line.
2. I can’t find the photo of the man and women for the home page picture that is in the demo.
Thanks for you help and thanks for creating such a fantastic theme! 🙂
Cheers.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @jenny555
First of all, you’re awesome. Looks like the code did work, and it was actually a caching issue that kept it from showing when I first tried it. Thank you! 🙂
So, with that said, is there a way to tweak the code you provide so that it displays groups in 3 columns, instead of 2?
Or, another idea was to display the groups in a scrolling horizontally carousel that a user can manipulate, left or right? This would maximize space on the home page, and it would enable a user to search for their desired group from the home page.
Thanks for your help! 🙂
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @laura,
Thanks for the reply. So I did more extensive testing, and there are two specific locations that do not work on mobile when clicking on a profile.
1. On the Home Page, under the sign up form (see attached pic) where the carousel displays members.
2. Under a User profile when viewing your Friends list, you can not select a friends profile from the list (see attached pic)
I physically tested it on a Samsung Note 3 and Note 4.
I also used the F12 function in Google Chrome, to select multiple different types of devices/operating systems. I had the same issue on the phones and in the F12 browser interface.
Thanks for checking into this. I really appreciate your time.
Cheers.

I was able to make the modification for the Sweet Date Theme, but can you please provide the code for Kleo?
Thank you for your help.
