Hi Jenny,
Thanks for the reply. I tried the code (see snap shot of how/where I added it) but it still looks the same.

I’ve tried deactivating all plugins, I’ve uninstalled all other themes (except WordPress 2015), and the only custom code I’ve added is the code provided by tech support to stylize the top header colors and social icons. That said, I still can’t figure out why the Short Code light box is empty when accessing it in the WordPress Editor (see snap shot.)
You have any ideas what the issue might be?
Thanks for your time.
Cheers.

jwchameleoncorpParticipantjwchameleoncorpParticipantHi @andrei
Thanks for the reply.
The element I’m trying to stylize is the top header and the fonts/icons in the header (see attached snap shot).
The exact colors are described in my last message in this thread (in the snippet of code). Essentially the background would be blue, while the fonts and icons would be white, throughout the website on all pages.
Thanks for the help.
Cheers

Also, would this snippet of code that I used to stylize the Top Header in Sweet Date, work the same for stylizing the Top Header in Kleo?
.top-links {
background: #359 !important;
}
.top-links, .top-links a, .circular-progress-item
input, .ajax_search_image .icon {
color: #fff !important;jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi Andrei,
Yep, still an issue. I went through the styling settings one by one.
Compare headers on the Home Page, versus About Page, versus Member Profile Page.
About Page: http://travelcuckoo.com/about/
Member Profile Page: http://travelcuckoo.com/members/traveljen/
Home Page: http://travelcuckoo.com/I attached a snapshot of my styling settings for the header. None of the items are set for transparency and the text is set for black.
There’s also no top menu on the Home Page.
What I’m striving for is a header that looks and behaves like the About Us Page, and the Member Profile Page, with one addition. I still haven’t found a way to style the color of the Top Menu, which I’d like to look exactly like the bread crumbs styling.
Thanks for taking a look.
Cheers.

Thanks and have a great day.
August 17, 2015 at 22:58 in reply to: Your Search Form Customization & Profile Fields Don't Work #73489jwchameleoncorpParticipantI was wondering the same thing, which is why I gave it a try. But then I started having styling issues with that as well.
For example, I started a ticket for the Kleo issues on August 16th titled “Styling Problems with Kleo”
No intent to offend, but it seemed like nothing with Kleo or Sweet Date was working as described. After spending several days trying to get it to work, got a little frustrated.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantSounds good. Let me switch everything back from Kleo to Sweet Date, and I’ll message you back.
Cheers.

Thanks!
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi Andrei,
I disagree with your assessment that I’m “complaining in lot’s of posts about how I cant’ do that.” I have made two requests for styling issues:
1. January 23rd, 2015 – Requesting custom color of the top menu and social icons. This should be an option in the Styling Tab of Sweet Date Dashboard, along with all the other major styling options. Your tech support did a great job by providing a snippet of code that resolved the issue, but I suggest you add it to the rest of the styling options.
2. August 15th, 2015 – Inquiring about why the font color changes in the Search Box after a user logs in. This a problem with your code, as the styling of website elements should not change whether or not a user is logged in. It has nothing to do with my understanding of your theme styling. I recommend you fix it.
I also inquired about an existing Instagram Icon support ticket that was started by someone else. Once again this is not a topic I started, but rather one I searched for and used. Out of respect for your time and mine, I do my best to find existing posts that solve the problem before starting a new ticket.
Other that than, all support ticket requests have been due to functionality that does not work as described in Sweet Date. Whether it’s a glitch, or it’s incompatible with something, I do my best to fix issue first by turning off plugins, etc. However, if that doesn’t solve the problem, and Sweet Date does not function as described, I create a support ticket, because that’s what support is for.
I agree that if I want extensive custom functionality that Sweet Date does not claim to do, then I should hire a programmer. But I have made not such request.
Unfortunately if your theme does not work properly, it’s yours to fix, not another programmers.
Cheers.
August 17, 2015 at 22:19 in reply to: Your Search Form Customization & Profile Fields Don't Work #73476jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi Andrei,
Your explanation is not clear. To clarify, are you telling me that the Import Fields Button should ONLY be used to reset the profile fields to the default demo ones?
If so, are you telling me that after I customize the Profile Fields that I should NOT use the Import Profile Fields button? If that’s true, by NOT using the Import Profile Fields button after I customize the Profile Fields, then my customized settings will remain intact?
Thanks.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantClearly. I only tried Visual Composer because your short code window doesn’t work, as reported in a different support ticket.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi Andrei,
Since I was having trouble with Sweet Date, I tried using Kleo. As a result, this support request was dated by the time you viewed it.
I will revisit this in the event I make an effort to use Sweet Date again, which depends on how well the support you provided in the other tickets, works.
Thanks.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantYeah, I was having so much trouble with Sweet Date, so I tried Kleo, but it has a lot of problems too. Both themes don’t work well. How do I get a refund?
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi Laura,
As I mentioned in my last reply, Sweet Date has to many problems. Nothing seems to work right, so I don’t plan to use it. How do I get a refund?
jwchameleoncorpParticipantSounds like you need to hire another tech support person. 🙂
By the way, kind of gave up on the Sweet Date theme. Too many problems with it. Just doesn’t seem to work very well.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantAlso, on the About Page (and on the Home Page and EVERY other page), I want the background color of the Top Menu to be identical to the color in the bread crumbs area > #3D5A99
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHere are more examples:
1. No top menu or social icons
2. Font in Nav Bar is whitehttp://travelcuckoo.com/about
1. top menu and social icons display (this is what I want on EVERY page)
2. Font in Nav Bar is black (this is what I want on EVERY page)I can’t find any way to customize the styling the way I want in the Kleo Dashboard or options.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantNever mind. Turns out Visual Composer has a conflict with Sweet Date and causes the social icons to stop working.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantIt’s been 2 days and I have had no reply to this ticket.
I still can not edit my pages using the Kleo Shortcodes. As a result I can not edit my pages or posts. Please reply at your earliest convenience so I can resolve the issue and proceed to create the website.
Also, I you can not provide a solution to the problem, is Visual Composer compatible with Sweet Date?
Thanks.
August 15, 2015 at 04:45 in reply to: Your Search Form Customization & Profile Fields Don't Work #73074jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi Laura,
I deactivated each plugin that did not come with WordPress (i.e. Jet Pack, Akismet, etc.) and each plugin that did not come with Sweetdate or Buddypress/bbPress.
None of the tests were successful and I still have the same issue.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi Laura,
I figured it out, but one question. Is the Main Side Bar the only one that can be used withim the Buddy Press profile? And what if I select the left and right (2 side bar) layout? What side bar works with that?
Thanks!
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi Laura,
So I was able to figure out where the “Little Green Fellow” field was from. It was a secret question from Wangguard, and it’s been deleted.
The only issue I have left with the registration page are the Profile Fields. This is the same issue inquired about in other posts. No matter what I try, the Profile fields always default back to the the original settings after I customize this. I notice that others in the Sweetdate forum have had the same issues. This is a major problem. Do you have any solutions for this?
Thanks
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi Laura,
Okay, that got rid of the extra Captcha, but the “Little Green Fellow” field is still there. I have no idea why that is on the Registration Page. Any ideas?
Thanks for your help.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantBy the way, is there a way to do the same thing with a Youtube icon?
Thanks!
jwchameleoncorpParticipantYou Rock! That did. Last time I put the code below the last “>”
This time I put it above. Always learning.
Thank you!
August 13, 2015 at 15:10 in reply to: Your Search Form Customization & Profile Fields Don't Work #72854jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi Laura,
I clicked import one time and it imports it. But anything I do after that, repopulates the old settings.
jwchameleoncorpParticipantI have that template selected, but no side bar is displayed in member profiles. An I missing a setting?
August 13, 2015 at 08:59 in reply to: Registration Page / Profile Fields / Search Box – ALL NOT WORKING CORRECTLY #72812jwchameleoncorpParticipantHey Adam,
Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately I tried clearing both the server cache and browser cache, but nothing has worked. I really appreciate you taking the time to make a suggestion.
Cheers!
jwchameleoncorpParticipantNever mind. I figured out how to add the code. However, it does not display correctly with the other social icons (see attached). Am I missing something?
Thanks for your help. 🙂

I am using the Sweet Date Child Theme. How do I add the Instagram code to that?
Thanks!
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHello Laura,
I have the same problem. The social icons at the very top of the page do not display on mobile devices. We’re you able to find a solution?
Thanks
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi Laura,
Yeah, sorry about that. My accounts were hacked and I will working with my host provider.
Can you try again please?
Thank you
jwchameleoncorpParticipantHi Laura,
Thanks for the reply.
I went into Settings > Buddypress as you suggested. Here are my settings (see attached pics)
However, I still don’t see a way for the member to change their user name (see attached pic)
Am I missing something?
