Hi Radu,
Thanks so much for figuring this out! Sorry to bother you since this was some of my CSS causing the problem.

cd690767ParticipantHi Radu,
Thanks so much for the help- categories look great now! About the excerpt- can it be displayed or is that not possible with the masonry and left thumbnail formats?
Thanks
Cathycd690767ParticipantHi Radu,
Sorry this keeps causing problems; feel free to tell me you don’t want to worry about it anymore.
When I put the ASP shortcode in a page, I get the same output as in the ASP widget- the search results are styled according to settings of ASP and displayed beneath the search form. It all seems to work like it should.
With the kleo search in the top menu, when I type in a search term I also get ajax results displayed beneath the search form until I hit enter, at which point some results are displayed on a page (but they are not in the same format as they are in the ajax display).
Regards,
Cathycd690767ParticipantHi Radu,
I thought I replied several days ago; sorry for the delay! This snippet also doesn’t work- it gives the following error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘echo’ (T_ECHO) in /home/XXXXX/public_html/wp-content/themes/kleo-child/functions.php on line 103line 103 is:
$form = echo do_shortcode(‘[wpdreams_ajaxsearchpro id=1])’);If I remove “echo” then there is no error, but then if I enter a search term in the search form in the top menu, the search form disappears from the menu after I hit enter.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks
Cathycd690767ParticipantHi Radu,
Thanks for the continued help but this snippet doesn’t work either. I get this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘;’ in /home/XXXXX/public_html/wp-content/themes/kleo-child/functions.php on line 97Line 97 is:
if ( sq_option( ‘ajax_search’, 1 ) == ‘logged_in’ && ! is_user_logged_in() ) {I tried removing each ; but that didn’t work. Removing both ; gave an error for the !.
If this won’t work let me know and I’ll take the search out of the top menu.
Regards,
Cathycd690767ParticipantHi Radu,
Thanks for the help, but unfortunately it doesn’t work- I get the error shown below:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘primary’ (T_STRING) in /home/XXXXX/public_html/wp-content/themes/kleo-child/functions.php on line 101
line 101 is:
$location = sq_option( ‘menu_search_location’, ‘primary’ );I changed “primary” to “top” but got the same error.

Seems to be working!! The admin dashboard does seem to load a bit faster.
Thanks
Cathycd690767ParticipantHi Radu,
Thanks for the info. If shortcodes should not be showing something is wrong. I’ll have to get back to you.

I’ll give it a shot and let you know what happens.
Cathy
cd690767ParticipantHi,
I think this may be a result of the BP Global Search plugin- I’ll do some more checking to confirm.

cd690767ParticipantHi Radu,
Thanks for the reply. I stopped using 7 because it caused too many problems, but I didn’t record the errors. I will have to test it on my staging site and get back to you.
When I run the WP Engine compatibility checker with KLEO 4.2.3 I get the same error as shown above:
/themes/kleo/kleo-framework/options/inc/validation/preg_replace/validation_preg_replace.php
30 | ERROR | preg_replace() – /e modifier is deprecated since PHP 5.5 and removed since PHP 7.0Cathy
cd690767ParticipantHi Laura,
Thanks for getting back to me. When the problem occurred I had not deactivated either K elements or VC. Have you had any other reports of conflicts with Plugin Organizer?
Thanks
Cathycd690767ParticipantHi,
Can you give us an update of when this error will be taken care of?? There was a new version of KLEO released about 2 weeks ago and I am still getting this error.
I would like to switch to php7 very soon (1-2 weeks).
Thanks,
Cathy
cd690767ParticipantHi Abe,
I realized you were referring to the puzzle element but I had entered the shortcode manually in a text block, so the settings box wasn’t showing up. That took care of some of my problems, but I am still wondering how to turn off display of the post meta and post content, to show only the title. Can that only be done with CSS or is there some other way?
Regards,
Cathy
cd690767ParticipantHi Abe,
Thanks for the reply. I’m not an advanced user so that is not enough info for me to do anything. Is there some documentation somewhere that will provide additional instructions?
Thanks,
Cathy
cd690767ParticipantHi Abe,
Thanks for the tip! The puzzle is showing now but it is a lot bigger than the one shown in the demo. How can I adjust the size of the panels?
Thanks for the help,
Cathy

I installed Justified Image Grid so I’ll try that to make my grids. So don’t worry about finding this CSS unless you need to for reference or for other people.

Thanks for getting back to me. That’s disappointing, but oh well, I thought I would at least ask.
Speaking of VC, I noticed KLEO uses a version that is a few updates old. Does this make any difference? Perhaps the latest version has some options that could help me here.
Thanks,
Cathy

Stupid me, I was doing something wrong- text color. Once I changed the color of the background I realized that all content of the custom fields was showing up. It also worked to use the advanced custom fields plugin then add a field that way, and it shows up as its own element in the grid builder.
I tried to find the CSS to change the transparency of the panel, but I can’t find it.
Any help would be appreciated. I’m using the Basic Grid Text First template and trying to change the background color of the normal block.

March 8, 2017 at 02:35 in reply to: Add Media Description field to a grid template for use in Post Masonry Grid #155029cd690767ParticipantHi Radu,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I don’t think that the custom field tool within VC/Grid Builder is working at all. I created 2 custom fields for the media files, then tried to display their content in a custom field of a VC/Grid template I’m using. In the grid template, I added a custom field, then entered the meta_key value from the wprs_postmeta table in the “Field Key Name” field under “Custom Field Settings”. But, nothing is showing up on the grid.
So either I am doing something wrong or it seems like the custom field is not capable of displaying any meta content at all.
From what I’ve read on the VC website I can’t open a ticket there because VC was bundled with KLEO. So I hope you can help me with this.
Also, I would still like to know how to make the grid panel transparent. The color is set at Grid Builder/Normal Block Setting/Design Options/Background
Thanks,
Cathy

Thanks for the feedback. It seems like I should be able to add a new field containing the title then just hide the title section. I’ll give that a try.
I hope sometime in the future KLEO allows for this type of adjustment to settings.

cd690767ParticipantHi Laura,
Thanks for the help, but this CSS removes both the horizontal and vertical lines, and I want to get rid of only the horizontal line. Can it be adjusted for that?
