I have seemed to at the moment solve the ‘registration’ redirect page by renaming the register page to ‘registration’. By doing this.. whenever i am redirected to this page.. it now goes to a working register page.. the only problem which i am facing now is that i don’t seem to receive emails to click on an activation link when a user signs up.

i tried signing up as a test account.. registered find but couldn’t find an activation email both inbox or junkmail. Please advise.

I have currently gone and put the site on maintenance mode.. to log in go to http://www.findingmuslims.com/wp-admin and type the credentials I have given

my ftp credentials are the same provided above if needed.. please help laura as this is a big problem.. especially for a member directory site :s

hi.. this does not work.. also I can do this on my end.. does not work..

I have the site up but when logged in as a test member I am unable to upload a photo or any media..

it gives me the following error message below:

Upload Failed! Error was: The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/avatars/42/avatars/42.

I noticed it is stating the avatar directory twice yet when I go ftp into my site.. it only has one avatar directory???

please can you look into this with the credentials I have provided and provide a fix as to how I can upload photos to a members profile.. this looks to be the only problem I currently face right now

now I’m facing a new problem.. when I try to upload media to a post it comes up with the following error message:

Hi Laura,

I had to restore all files from backup but didn’t upload the database because I may loose my members.. nothing was changed on the site.. only a few new members joined.

when a member logs in now it shows profile straight away which looks to be good

but there is a problem when it comes to people registering..

if a user wants to register to the site and clicks the top right sign up button, fills in the pop up form and then redirects to the registration form page it looks fine.. a page with a captcha slider at the bottom of the form

however if someone types in my web address /register.. it takes them to a register page.. but the register page looks to be different.. it has no slide captcha.. the testimonials is broken..

please login and check for yourself..

it also happens when someone clicks on the join us for free button next to the youtube promo.. they are redirected to a membership page.. then click on the membership plan.. on that page it asks if you want to login or signup.. if you use the sign up button below the membership plan checkout.. it takes you to the broken register page..

the only way it works is if users click the signup button top right of the screen.

please can you check and provide a fix so that where ever a user clicks a signup button they go to a working registration page.. which is the one with the slider

also another note.. users cant log in via the pop up if they are on a registration page.. any other page the pop up lets them log in.. please check and advise

also last issue.. now when someone does purchase tickets.. I don’t receive a notification in my woocommerce plugin under ‘orders’ normally it tells me you have 1,2,3 tc new orders.. now it doesn’t and I just see the order in my orders.

The problems I am facing are listed below:

1. When members log in via the top right log in button.. a) sometimes it doesn’t log them in and the ‘sending info’ load keeps loading.. and b) when a member does finally log in.. the log in button should change to ‘Profile’ but instead it stays as login.. only up until you go to a new page in which it then changes to ‘Profile’

2. I use an event plugin called Eventon.. and it was working great.. it stopped working when I tried to update woocommerce and when I did a test to check out from purchasing a ticket.. the paypal option was greyed out and I was unable to purchase a ticket..

3. I had a page called events in which I added the eventon shortcode.. one minute the page would be active and working.. the next it totally disappeared? and the page would just go blank white.. you could only view the event page if you logged in.. and that’s only sometimes. I have since then removed the page and using the short code on a blog post as and when needed for members to purchase tickets.

at the moment they are the main issues I am facing.. please do log in and check with the credentials I supplied above and investigate. Please let me know at the earliest on getting the site back up to working efficiency.

Thanks.. also I inputed the code to have the login pop up window change to a link and redirect to a page.. however when I did so the login and sign up button disappeared and was just text instead of an actual button so I reverted back to how it was before..

also for some reason.. members again cannot login via the pop up :s it just keeps spinning?? this is so strange.. please let me know how to change the links.. hopefully this should temp resolve but I would like to know why this keeps happening

i shared them before if you read up the top.. there i gave the webaddress username and password in a private reply.

Could you please tell me how this is done on the theme files in case i want to change it myself..

also if you can know how to fix this so that it automatically goes and logs in showing the profile button instead of log in if not refreshed then that would be better.

hi,

sorry i don’t quite understand.. i went to Appearance > Menu and went to my Primary Menu.. but it doesn’t have the menu for the log in button in which i am referring too..

The only other menus i have showing is footer and shortcodes and in both of these there is no menu for the login button

ok so what I did.. i tried deactivating the object cache as part of that plugin but it would not allow me.. it said to do it via http://ftp.. so i made a backup of the object-cache.php and removed it from the plugin.

after doing so the duplication does not appear which is great.. so that’s problem 1 sorted.

Problem 2.) when a user logs in the sign up button that they clicked for the login pop up window to open (from top right log in button) once a member logs in it remains still as login until the page is refreshed.

how can this be fixed?

problem 2.a) Please provide an alternative when once the login button is clicked it is redirected to an alternate log in page rather than a pop up window.

The only field which is not duplicating is the personal info tab..

from what I remember in the past.. I added the code to have the fields shown on a previous version of sweetdate

after installing the backup files when it stopped working I revisted my functions.php in my sweetdate child theme to see if the code that was added from the link before was there.. it is now not?

the personal info tab was the only field which I did not add within the code that was supplied by abe.

if there is no code in my functions.php why is it still showing? is it stuck on my database somewhere? how do I stop the duplication happening when clicking on the profile of each member..

please note: the duplication is only visible on the bottom under the blue part of the profile.. the profile tabs are visible and are not duplicated?

ok so.. what I have noticed about when users cant log in via the pop up login box..

when I deactivate my cache plugin and log out.. no one can log in via the pop up login.. when I reactivate the pop up login.. log out and try and log in it works..

with the plugin deactivated it also hides one of my pages on my website?? when I log in via wp-admin and via the page.. I can see it.. ?

I use the plugin w3 total cache.. I also just realised another potential problem.. when viewing a members profile.. their ‘Base’ profile.. when you click on the profile tab next to the activity tab.. it now shows the base duplicated.. I will share the login details below.. if you can check along with the other questions I stated to make sure everything is as it should be i would appreciate it.. also an update on what is happening.

Hey Laura,

I had to restore a backup I previously did to get it back working as it was before..

the original problems was from people not being able to sign up.. when they clicked the sign up icon ‘top right’ and the pop up sign up box would appear.. this would redirect them to the registration page.. but when you clicked on the join us button half way down and clicked on a membership.. this would redirect you to the register page but it would be an old out dated registered page.. since then I have used a cache plugin to clear my cache and the old registration page no longer shows.. that’s problem 1 sorted.

the problem which I face now.. which is small in comparison but when someone signs in to their account.. it still says login or sign up?? when you sign in again it says you are already sign in please refresh.. if you sign in once and redirect to a new page then when it said login sign up.. will then change to profile and logout..

3rd problem now that I just noticed is when signing in under a test account it will log in sometimes through the pop up log in box and sometimes it doesn’t sign in??? could you advise how this can be fixed.. also could you tell me an alternative way for members to log in.. for example.. how do I get members to log in without using the pop up.. instead when they click the login button it takes them to the log in page i.e how I would log in on the backend .com/wp-admin

tho I wouldn’t want them to see the wp-admin.. is that possible?

I used this but it does not work.

If a user was to sign up from scratch and was born in 1998 for example.. the date picket field only goes to 1997.. even when I change the buddypress age option in the sweetdate menu..

I want users to be able to choose any date they were born.. 1998-1999-2000-2001 and so on.. but the last date they can choose is 1997.

The main age search goes to whatever limit I set however if a member was to sign up to the sign up form then the latest year they can choose is 1997.. people will not be able to sign up if they was born for example in 1998 onwards..

yes tried different browsers.. computers.. mobile devices.. ipads.. everything.. it wasn’t working at all.. then one time it worked.. now it doesn’t again :s

I have no idea.. I went to facebook created an app.. put in the app i.d below the facebook integration.. turned on login with facebook too.. but everytime I click the facebook login buttons or sign up it doesn’t direct me no where nor does any pop ups to log in pop up..
