Hello, if you want to edit any theme file, you have to copy them to the child theme following the same path of folders, for example header.php would be at the main child theme folder but members-loop.php would need to be inside members folder so themes/kleo-child/members

This way your changes are not lost after an update but as you said if the update modifies any of those files you may not see the changes, if its something added to the file, you will see it, but if its a changed done to the current code you may not see it as your file has the old version
