Hello, something is very wrong with your site, i do not know if you edited theme files, let me know if you did. Right now i can only suggest to reinstall the theme ( save style.css of child theme and export theme options at Sweetdate menu )

Hello, you can use visual composer element “Post Grid” or KLEO Posts to add articles to your home page
