I fixed the problem! For anyone else that might come across this issue, I fixed the problem by using:

<h2 style=”text-align: center; font-size: 35px;”>whatever you want to say…</h2>

and then I did <h3 style>…<h4 style> with the same format and just changed the font size to the desired size as I went down the page. The heading styles must be in numerical order for SEO and to help people look over a page. Proper use of heading elements is vital to successful SEO.

If you use [kleo_h2] then it disables any links so don’t use that.

Perfect, should I just add the shortcode anywhere in the template of the groups/index.php or is there a specific location?

I have a live site so I don’t want any buttons or links that don’t work, but I can describe exactly what happens. Basically if you have let’s say an “About” page, with an H2 heading that says, “About Us” and then underneath that is a button that links to a “Learn More” page the button will be visible but it won’t work and it won’t be clickable. Same goes for links.

The only way it works is if I have an H1 heading above the links/buttons/H2 headings.

The H1 headings are really messing with my SEO though, I need to use H2 headings only.

Hi,

It worked perfectly, is there a reason why the shortcode I added to the Group page in the wordpress backend doesn’t work? It’s for a Google Map that supposed to display just above the groups like what I have currently for the Members directory which works very well.

Hi,

Thank you for the tip, I’m comparing the groups index file to the full width template file and am having some difficulty adding/or editing the right pieces of code. I’ve been comparing the groups index file to the members index file as they have similar setups and find the setup of the groups index file more confusing.

Can you help with what exactly to edit? I need the page to be full width so I can add some shortcode in for a plugin I have with a google map for the groups.

Btw rtmedia just released a couple more updates, now it’s currently at version 3.1.4.

These are their edits:

3.1.4 – Fixed Trailing space issue.

3.1.3 – Fixed template issue (css).
– Add hooks and filters
– Other minor issues.

Hi,

Is this going to be in the next update? I’m having issues of members typing in a city and my map not recognizing it because they said LA versus Los Angeles. I (as well as many others) need to have a drop down of a list of all the cities in the world for the users to select from such as http://www.geodatasource.com/world-cities-database/free

Is that what you guys are adding to next update? That would be really great, I noticed you have to scroll through all the drop down items so for the cities I think it’s necessary to include the option of typing letters in the list to locate the exact city or as the user types the city, options from the list are displayed just below the text box.

My site actually started acting weird and the recently added member graphics didn’t load properly and I started having the super slow loads in the admin again even though I already fixed it with the file you guys uploaded in another topic. I’ll wait for the update, as I’m sure that will be a much more stable fix.

Something interesting just happened, I deleted the test user from Paris, France and went to the members page to find the “All Members” counter had corrected itself and displayed the correct amount of members on the site…

I don’t know if it was because it was an international city and country or what, but it seems to be fixed.

Hi squadmin and @luckpo,

I was referring to the members directory on the members page, not the homepage, and I checked the link just in case and it wasn’t the issue I’m having. And ya my site is in english and I have the sex field set to “I am a”. I did try a maps add on that grabs profile fields to create a member map that was a localization add based on where the member was located which may have disturbed the member count system as the test user we created was from paris, france.

How should I reset the gender string if that’s the issue? Are there any other possible reasons?

Hmm weird, they’ve all logged in today and it still says just 1 member. I’ve also cleared the cache and still nothing happens.

Thank you for the swift reply as always 🙂 It did show up in the mentions area which is great. Is there a way to consolidate the mentions part to show up on the personal activity part so my members can see all the activity relating to them in one place?

Kind of like Facebook and Twitter, so it’s simple and easy to navigate the activity feed.

Nvm, it was the plugin I have called Peter’s Login Redirect that was causing the issue. I had the logout URL set to the homepage which was messing it all up.

Thank you that helped, for some reason though everytime I go to the front page when I’m logged in, the site doesn’t think I’m signed in and the login button at the top right appears instead of the profile and logout buttons.

This only started happening once I updated the theme to v1.5.

Do you have an idea why this could be happening?

Thank you for the swift response, I did what you said as I am using W3 Total Cache and it worked great 🙂 The only thing I did notice was if I was logged out and clicked on a menu item that I have available to visitors, and then click on the front page link from the logo, it showed the search form instead of the register form because I believe the site has been cached in my browser.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I’ve already changed the primary color and it still doesn’t change the colors of those two specific items. In the styling options I don’t have pink selected as a color anywhere.

Would love it if the myCRED plugin was integrated and/or compatible fully with the theme.

We are trying to set up a point system and leaderboard with the specific rank being show in the user profile next to the avatar image or about me section.
