I have renamed the private message string from loco translate from here : http://www.855date.com/v3/wp-admin/admin.php?name=buddypress%2Fbp-loader.php&type=plugin&poedit=languages%2Fplugins%2Fbuddypress-en_US.po&page=loco-translate ( search for follow string in filter translation input )

Regarding the buddypress follow plugin button ‘Follow’ you need to contact the plugin developer since the string comes from it.

We don’t offer support for any third plugins that you have installed and in this case you should contact the plugin developers.

I have tested on my local development playground with same configuration ( WP4.4 , GeoDirectory, Seo by Yoast ) and i don;t have that title problem.

The issue is probably related to some custom code that you could have added or other settings.

Try to install a fresh development site without any custom modifications then try to reproduce the scenario.

I suggest you to make a backup of sweetdate and sweetdate-child then reupload again the parent theme and the child.

Reproduce your action to see if the notices appear. And also make sure that you don’t hide the notifications with display:none via CSS.

What error do you receive at installation ?

Make sure that is no plugin incompatibility issue, by disabling plugins that not comes once with the theme one by one to see if some plugin interfere with https://wordpress.org/plugins/gift-buddypress-addons/

You need to re adjust the theme settings.

Or you haved Parent theme activated before upgrading and after update you have activated the child theme, the settings was remain into parent. or vice versa if this not happens you need to make again the theme settings.

The problem with changing TAB IDS name will be fixed in next update, the update will we launched next week.

Anyway you can edit that ids, by switching layout from visual to text and search in that content the generated id name and you can change manually from there.
