But create group isnt the directory. Its an individual group… its just that you’re in the process of creating it. So, I’m not sure how you’d also change the group create screen to full width. I’m not seeing a bp function that will allow me to know when Its a group create screen.

I’ve done more testing and have verified that its not Kleo related because it also happens on the WP 2015 Theme. You should contact rtMedia to see if they have a solution for you.

My guess it that because there’s no processing of videos and music files. There is processing of images once its uploaded. Anyhow, I’m taking a look at it now.

You can do a search. I answered the footer fix just yesterday.

Custom sidebars only work on certain pages. They dont work for pages that are controlled by plugins like bp and wp. The posts page is a placeholder for WP to work its magic to display the posts listings. It will only use the main widget area. You can use plugins like conditional widgets to only display certain widgets on certain pages.

I took about 30 minutes out of my time yesterday to install the bbpress/flarum code. Its a mess with Kleo and beyond the scope of support here to get it fixed. Cool. Not sure you know much about this, but I showed a basic example by echoing out “This is my forum”, but you can also add shorcodes for things like images and revolution sliders. swap out echo “xxx” with do_shortcode(‘[yourshortcode]’)

As long as their email in WP matches their email in FB, they will be recognized as already registered when the click the FB Login button and be logged in. If they dont match, when they click the FB login they will be registered under an new account with their email address they have on FB.

If you’ve saved a template using VCs template option, the template (which is just a bunch of shotcodes) is saved into the db. Not into a file. It doesnt appaear that VC give you the option to export. So, bring up the template in VC, then switch to classic mode and copy the shortcodes out of the wp visual editor, then paste it into a new page on your new site and save it as a template to be used on the new site.

The vc templates in the file system are php files and are templates for the shortcodes themselves, not for pages.

Whatver you have set in Settings > Forums > Forums root is merely a placeholder for bbpress. You dont even have to have the page created. But if you do, you’ll break the bbpress magic if you try to add any content to the page. Same thing happens with woo and bp and even wp on some things. For those types of pages, you need to edit the template files or inject code into them.

The best way to do that, is to use add_action functions to inject the code you want. https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/add_action

In the forums page, there are a few do_action spots you can utilize. For example, at the top of every page on the site there is a kleo_before_main_content action that you can use to add content before the main section. So if you just want to do it for bbpress pages, you can do something like in your childs functions.php file

For the bottom you’d use kleo_after_content.

Its not possible with Kleo. Those were created for the demo because users dont have access to change color settings in the backend. I think there might be a request in the feature request topic that you can vote on. Or, you can look of a plugin that will do that.

I dont think the intention was to have it over an image and it uses the rows section style settings (header, main, alt, footer). With that said, you can add an extra class name and add some css to the page using the gear icon.

The way to figure it out is to disable all extra plugins. Verify that it works. It it does, then enable one and check again. Then enable another one and check again. If you have a cdn or caching on your server, you will need to clear it after every change.

You can also look in your server error logs for issues.

That favorite tab is for activities. Its all buddypress and has nothing to do with wp posts.

and, you’ll notice in the image that those ajax calls are pending. Thats because its taking server resources to process which is slowing everything down.

I dont know. But it eats up a ton of resources. Its coded wrong. I’ve talked about it here before, but the short answer is this…

I click like on an activity = 1 admin-ajax call (no problem)
I click like on another activity = 2 admin-ajax calls ( Hmmmmm )
I click like on another activity = 4 admin-ajax calls ( what?)
I click like on another activity = 8 admin-ajax calls ( whoa )

You can google admin-ajax to see how it taxes the server. Now imagine all your users scrolling through the activity feed and clicking multiple likes.

I think part of the upload problem is your server taking so long to process large images. It has to not only save the original, but make thumbnail, med and large version of the image as well. I have no problem uploading that image you gave me to my sites.

The only place I had an issue with uploading is for the buddypress avatar. BP Cover Photo and rtMedia uploads were fine. Is that where you’re having the issue?
