I’ve been combing through your source code and can really see where the problem lies. I even used your logo on my test site and it works fine. It does, however, look like you’re running WP 4.1 with older versions of VC and Kleo. I suggest updating those.

How did you do it though? If you just added the video in the visual editor, that wont work. You need to add it the media section of theme general settings located below the visual editor. Then it will put in the masonry grid and at the top of the post.

Actually, are you having users just input their facebook name or the entire URL? For his code to work, I think it should only be the name and not the full link to facebook. Make sense?

bp_get_profile_field_data does not

Try the original code but use gp_get_profile_field_data the the link instead.

I havent tried any of this code. Just a guess from experience.

In order for files to work in the child theme, you need two things

1 – The child theme must be enabled

2 – You must have the same directory structure. So /kleo-child/buddypress/members/single/member-header.php is correct in this case.

Visual Composer doesn’t come stock with woo commerce shortcodes. Its in the theme. I see it in the code in 3 places (Products by category slug, Recent products and Featured products) . It will be fixed. Thank you for bringing it up AND finding the fix 🙂

There’s no option or easy way to do that. The big obstacle I see is the activity comments. As I mentioned here (https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/how-to-change-activity-layout), if you want to code this yourself, take a look at the activity-loop.php file.

@mjy – I’ve submitted the code to the Kleo team for approval and inclusion in the next update.

@webmaster-sw – I somewhat agree with you and have had that as a “will do something about this for my sites” in the back of my mind for some time now. But, in thinking about it now, I dont think redirecting makes the best sense. There’s no other easy way to view all of the authors posts. Maybe instead, have a few more small icons in the meta for messaging and viewing the authors profile?

Now that I’m contributing code to the Kleo team on a regular basis, I’ll see about submitting all of that to them for inclusion into the theme. Please let me know your thoughts on the profile/messaging links.

Okay. Here’s my hack. All I did is generate the tabs shortcode. If the kleo team were to code this, it would be much different, therefore I’m not going to submit it to them for inclusion into the theme.

Download the attached file.
Change .txt to .php
Save to /kleo-child/buddypress/members/single/profile/profile-loop.php

Things to note
1 – I used the “line” style tabs because I thought they looked better than the square tabs. You can change the style by editing the vc_tab shortcode on line 9.
2 – I will not provide on-going support for this.
3 – I will not help you customize it.
4 – I have to be a b-word about 2&3 because I just dont have time. Sorry.
5 – With all of that said, I only tested with 4 tabs with 1 text field in each tab. If you find something that doesnt work, I will help sort that out. You will need to provide me a link to your site so I can see what’s going on.

I’m looking at it now. I’m looking for things that stand out as possible conflicts. Do you know if VC pricing boxes works with the latest version of vc? Did you try disabling that and then enabling VC? I dont want to do it because 1 – I dont want to screw with a live site and B – I dont want to lock myself out.

In almost every instance I’ve seen this, its a plugin conflict that causes it. We know that VC had an issue with WP 4.1. We have no idea if any of your other plugins do. And to be honest, we dont support VC, only the Kleo customized VC shortcodes.

We know that WP 4.1, Kleo 2.3.1, K-elements 2.3, Rev Slider 4.6.5, BP 2.1.1, bbPress 2.5.4, PMPro 1.7.15.2 and VC 4.3.5 work without issue together. My suggestion is disable all plugins besides those and see if you still have the issue. If you do, then let me know. If you don’t, then start enabling all the extra plugins you have one by one to see where the issue is.

You should be running 4.3.5 You can install it from the the Kleo 2.3.1 zip file on theme forest.

Forgot to add that 4.3.4 doesnt work with WP 4.1. That’s why you’re getting that.

buddypress-functions.php isn’t in the child theme by default. You put it in there at some point. But you do bring up a good point about updates that most people dont think of and that’s comparing any files you copy to the child theme to newly updated files.

Testimonials use the single.php file like regular WP posts.

There isnt any reason I can think of as to why it doesnt work in a post. Shortcodes work in posts. Have you tried it using a standard WP theme just to verify that its working correctly and not a Kleo issue?

Okay, I’ve confirmed with @abe that the media section in theme general settings at the page level has been disabled in a recent update. He’s going to bring that back in the next update. No ETA.

However, you can do what you want using a single slide Rev Slider. http://sharmstr.com/host-video-full-width-page-test/

Admittedly, its not a great solution due to the lack of a play button in the middle of the video and the controls aren’t ideal, but if you can live with that until its added back to the theme, then use the attached slider I’ve created for you.

Import the slider.
Edit the slide so that it points to your video.
Copy the VC code from the portfolio page into a new page as instructed before.
Switch to backend editor and put a row at the top.
Add the Rev Slider to it.

Be sure that you DONT fill out the media section in Theme General Settings on the page. Wait until those are enabled again in the theme. Once they are, just delete the rev slider row.
