Hi Steven, You need to increase your memory. Looks like you’re only running 64mb. Depending on your host, you may or may not be able to increase it. Contact your host about allocating 128mb.

turn off Custom page for Portfolio archive
name your portfolio and link
**important* resave your permalink settings. you dont have to change them, just click save

You can turn on Custom page for Portfolio archive if you want now. It will keep your new name for your portfolio.

Its really a host issue. With that said, instead of trying to upload everything all at once, use WP Admin – Appearance – Kleo Demo Data and do them separately.

If you want to edit the css, make sure you’re using the Kleo Child theme, then put your changes in kleo-child/style.css. Or alternatively, you can put your changes in WP Admin – theme options – general settings – quick css

Before 2.2, there were two places to add that info in Theme Options; Buddypress and Header Options. People were confused by this so they added an on/off to set a different message for Buddypress pages. There has never been an on/off for WordPress pages.

What page isn’t it working on if you turn it off in the page settings?

Several things can cause this. Either a plugin isn’t closing a div, you have custom code in your child theme that’s not formatted correctly or even something like badly formatted html in your menu and/or main menu info section.

Every time this has happened to me, its been one of those above.

Using the featured image is probably a good idea. But you can also set a featured image for the video in the media manager. I tested that and it worked when viewing it in the backend, but not on the frontend.

I will say that I had no idea that you could set a featured image for uploaded video. Its not very apparent that you can do that. WordPress needs to make this easier.

You can put all of those files in your child theme. Just make sure you use the same directory structure that Kleo has

I think you’re just a bit confused on how it works. There’s only an on/off for Buddypress pages. If you want to turn it off for all the other pages, just delete the information you have in Theme Options – Header Options – Main menu info.

If you go into WP Admin – Media, then select the video you uploaded, then click on edit more details, you’ll see that it WordPress doesnt show a thumbnail… just a black/blank video player.

As far as I know, WordPress doesn’t automatically generate thumbnails when you upload a video. You need a plugin for that.

Another thing that won’t work is the visual composer for portfolio items. VC wasn’t working on the portfolio because it wasn’t turned on. WP Admin – Settings – Visual Composer. I’ve turned it on for you.

This is done, can still see the text when hovering. I dont see a subtitle when hovering over the logos.

can still see the featured media picture when viewing the page. Please give me a link to the page where this is happening. I couldn’t find one.

What ever sidebar i choosing i can only see the standard one. I dont see an issue with your site. I created a sidebar called “test” and added a text widget to it. I went into the Portfolio With Sidebar and changed the sidebar to “Test”. Works as expected.

Okay. Any chance you’re hosting with WPEngine? You’re having the same problem as in this topic. Your main activity page isn’t loading the necessary buddypress javascript file. Not only is not showing the buttons, but when clicking on the comment button, it reloads the page instead of just displaying the comment form. Contact your host. Good luck.

Lets try this one more time. Just go to the activity page… not via an @mention… just go to http://www.yoursite.com/activity. Then click in the box and tell us if it appears.

I’ve seen this happen before and it was a jquery issue. It only happened on the main activity stream, not the one in the profile. It had nothing to do with @mentions. That’s what I’m trying to determine. If it happens on the main activity page regardless of the @mention. In order to do this, I dont want you to start with an @mention. Hope this make sense.

Or, alternatively, respond privately with credentials and a link to your site.
