ParticipantHello,
I did the update again, this time on a subdomain just to try.Same thing happened. All members dissapeared except mine (but still in admin-panel).
Home page broke. Looks like Page Builder cells gets partly behind the front image.I have tried all I can think of.
– Deactivated all plugins except BuddyPress
– Deactivated and activated BuddyPress
– Tried to change settings in Theme Options
– Made a new page with Members template.
– Pressed the repair tools in Tools > Buddypress
but still the issue remains.I think you are a lot better than me to debug this as you developed the theme update.
I have a new fresch copy of my website on a subdomain, so you can make the update again on the subdomain and se what happens and then try to debug it. I made the update via Envato Toolkit.

Now I found Elementor .
But still don’t understand how I can change text in the register form…??– How do one scroll down the Home Page in Elementor??
Oceanglim
ParticipantThanks,
Yes, I think I did that actually, but maybe not “activity”.I’ll try again

ParticipantOh lord, this is confusing me so much, ha ha!
“Logged in means users that view the site without account,”
This doesn’t make sense to me. An user without an account cannot possibly be logged in. A user can only med logged in if the user registered, right?“Yes the users with premium memberships should be able to send messages one each other.”
You mean with the settings I have? Not logged in = Guest users that are not logged in = Registered users with no membership subscription that are not logged in?
Not members: Logged in users but with no membership subscription. = Same users as “Not logged in” but logged in?Not logged in = Guest users that are not logged in Vistors to the site that are not registered??
Not members: Logged in users but with no membership subscription.—————————————————
Okay, as my brain apparently doesn’t have the same kind of thinking in this matter, could you please tell me how I should make my settings if:
I would like registered users and paying members to be able to see Members Directory (If they are logged in or not doesn’t matter), but NOT visitors without an account.
I would like only paying members to be able to write messages (if they are logged in or not doesn’t matter). NOT registered users with a free account and NOT visitors to the website who are not having an account.
So how should I put the settings? Please let me know!
Thanks very much!

ParticipantNow I updated Sweetdate just by clicking on “update theme” in admin panel.
It says it updated successfully, but look at the screenshot!!
All my members are gone in Members Directory!!! (They are still in the wp-admin though)I am now asking my webhost to restore my site to latest backup, but then I need to try again. Do you have any idea about why this happened and what to do about it??
GREATFUL for your help
JenniOceanglim
ParticipantThank you! I looked for a changelog text which I couldn’t find anywhere, but now I got it! It’s all in the demo of course – sorry!!! Thanks! Great news btw!

ParticipantHi again,
regarding my questions in my message here above #190028, could you confirm that I understand things correctly, please?I assume “Not logged in” is the same thing as registered users who are not paying, right?
This should be more crystal clear. It’s hard to guess. I get confused every time I look at it. Maybe you should change to:Not logged in: Registered users who are not paying
Not members: Neither registered users or paying membersIf I got this wrong, please explain to me, thanks 😀
Oceanglim
ParticipantGreat, thanks!!
What’s new in the latest update, btw? Can’t find info about it …Oceanglim
ParticipantThanks, I know….there was no problem with my test-account either.
Okay, I’ll talk to PMP!
Thank you

ParticipantHello Radu,
I have these settings:——————————————
Restrict members directory
Choose Levels to Restrict:Not members
——————————————Restrict viewing other profiles
Choose Levels to Restrict:
Not logged in
Not members
——————————————Restrict users from sending private messages
Choose Levels to Restrict:
Not logged in
Not members
——————————————-This is because I want to keep privacy for the members. Only registered users can see Members Directory, and only paying members can see other profiles and send messages.
So this shouldn’t bee a problem for paying members to send messages to each other, right?
I assume “Not logged in” is the same thing as registered users who are not paying, right?
Anyway, today I have one more who cannot see the Members Directory. He payed his membership today, but still he lands on the Pricing page when clicking on Members in the menu.
I have changed his membership, saved and then changed back to his desired membership level, but still it doesn’t work.
When I manually change his membership level, it says “Not paying”. Does it matter? (before I changed, it say “Payed”)I would need to have this resolved by tomorrow evening if possible.
His name is Johnny:

ParticipantWell, that isn’t the case.
They are both paying members, as I wrote. Actually they both renewed their membership the same date and their memberships will last until February 2019.A funny thing though is, that on his User-page it says “12 months”- “Not Paying” although he payed. Is it because I ones prolonged his membership for free??
Oceanglim
ParticipantA more precise explanation: When he clicks the conversation link to open it, then he gets forwarded to Pricing Page.
I have tried to make a conversation with him as well, and then it works fine and also for him with other members.
I also deleted our conversation, but still he is able to reply to me. So that isn’t the case either. So it seems it’s an issue just between the two of them.
When he hovers their conversation link this text shows: https://bildafamilj.nu/medlemmar/jpod/messages/view/123
but still he gets directed to Pricing page. Thanks
Oceanglim
ParticipantThanks a lot Laura for your explanation above! Sorry I didn’t wrote that before but I was grateful!
Now I have a big issue:
One of my members has written back and forth with a another member a few times, but today when he tries to reply her, he gets forwarded to Pricing page. They are both paying members. And there is no “block member”-function, right? His name is jpod and her name is Sofia.
Could you PLEASE look that up for me, because I can’t figure out what it can possibly depend on.Thank you so much!

ParticipantThank you very much Laura!
Another question:
I have had complains from members that there is no possibilites to save their search settings. They would like to keep a search setting without having to make it over again every time they do a search.
For example: X want to search for someone within the age of 25-35 yrs in X-county with sailing as hobby. Instead of having to fill in “Gender” “Looking for gender” “Age span”, “County” and “Hobby” every time they do a search, is there any possiblity /function /code that can give them the option to keep these search settings for next time?
All the best

ParticipantHi again!
Should Step 1-4 be added in a row at the same place?
https://stripe.com/docs/stripe-js/elements/payment-request-buttonMost grateful for your reply!
Oceanglim
ParticipantReally?! Thank you, that’s very kind of you to check that out for me :)!
Waiting for you to get back about it :)…Oceanglim
ParticipantThanks, as I wrote I haven’t tried MailChimp just because you need to show your physical post address on the emails. I only have a private mail address and I don’t want to reveil that one.
Any other suggestion?
Oceanglim
ParticipantThanks for your reply and suggestion, Laura :D!
Okay, so if I use “Buddypress Members Only”, can I choose what to restrict? Does it restrict access to buddypres pages just for paying members, or any registered user?Would WooCommerce be a less good idea? I saw they offer memberships too..
Thankful for your ideas!
OceanglimOceanglim
ParticipantHi Laura,
Could you read my question again please:Is there any OTHER payment solution THAN Paidmembership Pro that I could use with Sweetdate, or do I have to use PMP with Sweetdate???
Do you have any other solution in that case that can be suitable for SweetDate?
Hope you got my question this time 😀Best Regards
Oceanglim
ParticipantAlso when putting the cursor into the discount code fill-in box, one get transferred to the webpage of PayPal…???!!
Oceanglim
ParticipantOKay, now something really ugly happened to my Stripe payment fill-in form…Look at the screenshot!
Oceanglim
ParticipantHi Radu, thank you.
I have done it again now. But I can’t see any PaidMembershipPro – folder within your red marked square.“Just copy this file : /wp-content/plugins/paid-memberships-pro/pages/checkout.php
To this location : /wp-content/themes/sweetdate-child/paid-memberships-pro/pages/checkout.php
Do you mean I should copy the checkout”Do you mean I should copy the plugins’ checkout.php into the themes/sweetdate-child’ checkout.php or do you mean I should copy plugins’checkout.php into themes/sweetdate-child/paid-memberships-pro/pages???
Anyway, I did it just like you said…copied the checkout.php into the checkout.php of the childtheme.
Oceanglim
ParticipantThank you…I’ll ask Pmp :). The answer is not really in the text you sent me, but thanks a lot anyway :)!
Oceanglim
ParticipantThanks a lot for that information!
Comparing subdomain and local site, which is the best and for what reasons?
How do I download/copy the live site to the local site and back?Oceanglim
ParticipantHi Radu,
That didn’t make any difference…unfortunately..
I did exactly as you suggested.Best Regards,
OceanglimOceanglim
ParticipantThank you for your quick reply, but what do you mean by “local version of one’s site”?
My host doesn’t provide staging server, so I have a copy of my site at a subdomain.Okay I’ll try it on my subdomain first. Thanks! 😀

ParticipantHello again!
MailChimp User Sync is not tested with my version of WordPress. My question is….What could happen when a plugin is not tested with the version of wordpress one uses?Best Regards,
JenniOceanglim
ParticipantThank you Kieran for being smart enough to explain as well as you do!
I appreciate it! Thanks!! Saves a lot of time!😀
Oceanglim
ParticipantThank you :D!
There were a lot of MailChimp plugins….For my needs, which ones exactly would you recommend??Kind Regards
Oceanglim
ParticipantThank you very much for your rather quick and well explained reply!
What do you mean by: “via a plugin of your choosing from the repo)”. What is “repo”?
Sorry, my mothertongue is not English :D..Thanks

ParticipantHi Radu,
Thanks a lot for the code!“Combining plugin with our circle theme it’s not possible it require custom development”
I see…but it seems to work very fine…What problems could it result in, that I use the “Match me for Buddypress”-plugin??
Or do you mean it could result in problems when having both circles, but not if I remove the SweetDate’s circle?Best Regards,
Jenni[attachment file=157696]
Oceanglim
ParticipantI just read in Editor > Sweetdate: theme_options.php (framework/theme_options.php)
“* Require the framework class before doing anything else, so we can use the defined URLs and directories.
* If you are running on Windows you may have URL problems which can be fixed by defining the framework url first.”I don’t really get this, but I am using Windows. Should I do anything?
I just installed “Match Me for BuddyPress”….so now I have two circles, ha ha…One on the left side and one on the right side. Any easy way to remove the SweetDate one?? Yours is nicer though.
Best Regards,
JenniOceanglim
ParticipantHi Radu!
Well, I really don’t know what to do. My host hasn’t saved any complete backup from earlier so I feel really screwed.
Do you think I can try to combine the plugin “Match me for BuddyPress” with the SweetDate? Is it possible? Or using their shortcode somehow??
https://wordpress.org/plugins/match-me-for-buddypress/
Or otherwise I guesa I have to build the site all from the beginning as I had to do when I had the Profile Pic Uploader issue.
Best Regards,
JenniOceanglim
ParticipantHi Radu,
Thanks a lot for your efforts!
I know! I don’t know either what happened with my site and the access. I contacted my webhost and they said it completely ran out of space. It was impossible to reach it at all, so I upgraded my webhost package and I also asked them to block my site to all other IP:s except mine so I could go in and block other countries. Anyway I wasn’t sure which country you were in, so I asked them to remove the blocking after it just started to work properly again. But they seemed to not remove the blocking. But now they removed the blocking, so it is accessable again!Anyway, all of a sudden the bad reports on Pingdom was gone and my site loaded faster than 100 % of Pingdom-tested sites. I guess you fixed that, did you?? I am very greatful if that is the case!
– If I restore my database and files to a date when the matching system worked, what will happen to the registered users that are registered after that? Should I export them to a file and then upload them after restore. Is there any plugin you recommend for that?? Or some other way?
Best Regards,
Jenni -
