That’s awesome @jwchameleoncorp! Thanks for sharing. We too use Siteground. Turning off the Memcached setting in the SuperCacher setting and then turning it back seems to have resolved the issue for us.
pauldykeParticipantI also have this error message since updating to BuddyPress Version 2.7.2
I’m running Sweetdate theme.
Thanks for raising the ticket @jwchameleoncorp on BP Forum.pauldykeParticipantHi Laura – thanks for your reply. I haven’t received any update yet. Do you recommend disabling Revolution Slider for the moment?
pauldykeParticipantHi Laura. I have been advised to update the revolution slider plugin as there are serious vulnerabilities with 4.1.1 (the version supplied with sweetdate).
Here is an article refering to the vulnerability:
https://blog.sucuri.net/2014/12/revslider-vulnerability-leads-to-massive-wordpress-soaksoak-compromise.html
How do I update the plugin? Does this come with the next theme update? When will this be?
Many thanks.pauldykeParticipantHi @sharmstr thanks for your reply and sorry for my delay. I have deactivated all plugins on my staging site and the sidebar is remains hidden.
Not sure why site is loading sweetdate files. Whereabouts?pauldykeParticipantHi
I’ve upgraded a few plugins this week and noticed that I can no longer see a sidebar on my latest posts page. Template is missing from page attributes so I cannot choose ‘Right Sidebar Page Template’. It’s available on all other page types. I have tried disabling and re-anabling the theme and tried creating a new page and then converting this to the new latest posts page in reading settings, both to no affect.

pauldykeParticipantI’ve been experiencing this intermittently for quite a while. Users cannot login, they get stuck in an infinite ‘ ‘Sending info, please wait…’ loop. Users think they’ve got their password wrong and request a password reminder. However it’s not because of this. I suspect it’s a conflict with WP Super Cache. I think it might need the option ‘Don’t cache pages with GET parameters. (?x=y at the end of a url)’ enabled.
Any ideas?
pauldykeParticipantMany thanks Abe. This seems to have worked. I’ve been using yoast SEO plugin which allows you to amend robots.txt
pauldykeParticipantNo problem Catalin. My next challenge is to get autocomplete to work for @mentions in the activity stream as per Buddypress 2.1 revamped @mentions interface. Please let me know if you hear of any solutions to get this working.
Kind regards, PaulpauldykeParticipantpauldykeParticipantHi Catalin
I have not enabled friend connection enabled, but I do have private messaging. I want logged in users to be able to send direct messages to people and lookup names. When I start typing a name, the searching wheel spins, but never displays results.
PaulpauldykeParticipantHi Catalin
I believe this script just changes the format of the image from jpg to png. Updating the dimensions in bp-custom.php works for new uploads. A friend has kindly run a script using terminal access to regenerate the thumbnails and they’ll all looking better now.

pauldykeParticipantHi Catalin
Thanks for the link. I tried the different methods mentioned here and thought nothing had changed. But I’ve just changed my avatar and a group avatar and they now appear correctly.
Do you have any advice about how I can regenerate all the avatar thumbnails? I can’t ask all my users to reload their photos. I don’t think that the plugin ‘Regenerate Thumbnails‘ works for BuddyPress. I don’t know about running scripts from the command line, so I can’t try the final post here.

pauldykeParticipantI’ve added some quick css, and changed the profile tab and members list fields by following the other threads. Theses have been very minor changes and I don’t think it would be the cause. I’ve just updated to the latest version of buddypress docs but there is no improvement. I tried removing my quick css but this hasn’t helped.
When you edit a doc in your install, does the section jump to the top of the page?
January 12, 2014 at 18:47 in reply to: plugin conflicts with 'event manager' & 'Really simple Facebook Twitter share' #9586pauldykeParticipantHi Abe
1. Thank you! The css does bring back the ‘Events I’m Attending’ table back to where it should be positioned which is great. Do you have a suggestion of how I can fix the “My Profile” tab within the Events tab – it is not displaying correctly? It is a big semi circle with black text.
2. I’ve disabled the plugin and it looks fine, the spacing has gone and the groups boxes now line up, so I suspect it’s something about this plugin. Do you have a social share plugin that you recommend? I always use the text editor because I agree the visual editor has unexpected consequences (it removes tables).
Many thanks

Yes, all seems fine now I’ve added the CSS adjustments. I’m testing in Chrome and IE.
Happy to set this as fixed. Many thanks
PaulpauldykeParticipantTaking a look at the CSS has helped – thank you.
I’ve reduced the following pixels from 60px to 54px and the border is now circular! Not sure why it became oblong. I’ve added the following to Quick css:
.buddypress.widgets ul.item-list .item-avatar {width: 54px}
.activity-list span.avatar, #whats-new-avatar, #activity-stream div.avatar {width:54px; height:54px}pauldykeParticipantThanks Adam – yes Chrome’s inspect element says this is the css I’m using. It’s the Members and Groups sidebar widgets that I’m referring to.
