Indeed that is a WP role. I figured that’s what you were referring to, but ever since BP added member types, people confuse the two.

In any case, buddypress doesnt put any special css class on the avatars in order to differentiate them based on role. So, the answer is no.

However, you could custom code the avatar to add a css class like .author, .admin, .subscriber but you’d have to do it all over the place and its beyond the scope of support here.

Hard to know for sure without seeing the code, but my guess (based on experience) is that you have a top padding or margin set in the row settings for your first row.

There is no setting in Kleo that will allow you to add an email address to the top bar. You can add a custom link to the top menu and set the title to your email address, but obviously that wont launch your email client. It will merely just display your email address.

Okay – Last issue I think

Profile covers – That “1200px wide, and 225px tall” message comes from BP. Obviously that size sucks because Buddyapp uses a small side profile header instead of the default big header. You have BP Profile Photo installed and enabled, so why not use it? Go to Settings > Buddypress > Settings and enable “Leave BP Cover plugin functionality instead of BP 2.4 core”. This will use the BP Profile Photo stuff instead of the new BP 2.4 stuff. 🙂

You didnt set it up correctly. You have your WP home page set to Home Business Directory, but your GD Home page is set to the GD Home Page. Please go through everything again and set it up correctly as per the examples I’ve given you.

Looks as though you may have not tested correctly with the WP 2015 Theme. The WP 2015 Theme has the same issue if there are buddypress template files in it.

You need a few things in order for this to work.

1 – You need something that will generate the og codes for you. https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/featured-image

2 – Once you have that, you can use the fb debugger to clear images they’ve already cached so it will choose the correct image: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

Your Geo Home Page should be blank (no vc, no text, nothing). All content is added by way of the widgets. Whatever page that is on your site, it needs to be set in Geo Directory > Permainks > Geodirectory Pages > GD Home Page. It also needs to be set in WP Admin > Settings > Reading. In my attached images, my geo home page name is Home Business Directory.

There shouldnt be an issue. To test, move your code to the WP 2015 theme. If it doesnt work there, then you know there’s something wrong with your code since you’ve taken Kleo out of the picture. If it does work there, let me know.

A couple of thing

1 – by default, WP doesnt use a wysiwyg editor for the comments box. you can try adding a plugin for that.

2 – wp doesnt really adhere to line brakes in its comment box either. see the attachments. one shows where i’m adding the comment and the multiple new lines i’ve added (2 lines between 1 and 2 and 3 lines between 2 and 3). As you can see in the next screenshot, WP by default strips out multiple new lines.

With that said, it only appears that buddyapp is stripping all of them out (see buddyapp-default.jpg) due to the paragraph spacing. WP’s default 2015 theme sets the bottom margin on the paragraphs to 1.6842em, while buddyapp doesnt have a bottom margin set. If I override that and set a bottom margin, then it looks like the WP default. See override.jpg

(for reference, here’s the css I used)

So, what all this means is that buddyapp isnt doing anything special as far as stripping new lines. WP is.

That setting is being depreciated by geo directory. Dont use it. You can still have geo directory on your home page by selecting it in WP Admin > Settings > Reading.

It works for me. See attached (hovering over author name shows link at bottom of screen). Perhaps you have custom code or a plugin that’s causing the issue?

And sure enough, in my case, WP Types released and update that says

4 – My menu issues were due to a plugin conflict. Specifically WP Type by OnTheGoSystems. Look for a plugin conflict.

1 – You are correct. Its been fixed in the next release. Its also been discussed here so searching before asking is appreciated 🙂 Not sure when they will be releasing 1.0.5 and its a bunch of code to give you the fix now. The links are added or removed based on what you have enabled/installed. There isnt a configuration page to set those.

Its possible, but historically it has caused issues with threaded replies. Do a search on the bbpress forums. Its been discussed to death over there. Enjoy the rants, they get heated 🙂
