A regular licence is defined as:
Use, by you or one client, in a single end product which end users are not charged for.
This covers one domain and one localhost install. This does not cover multi-site.

Just to confirm, the answers are, yes you can use it locally to test, no you won’t be using a licence for it locally and yes you can change it to one online project later 🙂

The simplest way to do this would be with a plugin, from memory there are a few that do what you ask. Here’s one that was pretty much the first result on Google by a respected developer in the BuddyPress community.

ModeratorThe shortcode for your particular search form is
[bps_display form=1166]
This will vary if you create more search forms, in future you can find it by going to Users > Profile Search > On the far right of the page.
You can add this shortcode to the desired location on your homepage by going to Pages > Forside > Edit > Paste the shortcode where you want it to appear.

In that case you can copy across your shortcode and paste it where you want it to appear.
From a general security and performance point of view, if you’re not using a plugin or a theme you should delete it from your install (if possible). Outdated, compromised or non-functioning plugins that are inactive on a WordPress site still pose a risk.

ModeratorThe search for you referenced is from a plugin called “BP Profile Search” you could use turn off the SweetDate search functionality and use the shortcode generated by BP Profile Search on your home page, however, by doing so you’d lose key functionality of SweetDate.
But to confirm, yes, you could just replace with the shortcode from your plugin.

I have been looking into your issue and I have now gone as far as I can without going through the obvious issues / debugging steps.
By updating the theme to the latest version we have ruled out SweetDate / BuddyPress version issues. The next step in working out what is causing the conflict is unavoidable, and unfortunately necessary, you’ll have to deactivate your plugins, and reactivate them one by one to test for conflicts. Each time you activate a plugin you will have to clear your browser cache and website cache and test the search form to see if it works.
Because of the sheer volume of plugins you’re using I would advise that you make a content and database backup before starting as well as putting your site into maintenance mode to limit users exposure to the works you will be carrying out.
If you encounter a plugin that causes the form to stop working, please deactivate it again and continue with the rest of test.
Please let me know the outcome of this test.

I see you’re using the child theme so you can do the following
Copy this file from the main theme
/sweetdate/registration/register.php
To your child theme
/sweetdate-child/registration/register.php
If you haven’t already done so you’ll need to create the folder ‘registration’ in your child theme
You can now edit the file with your favorite editor, or your host’s file browser/editor.

The main page search is a custom feature of SweetDate, for me to be able to look into this for you I will require admin credentials. The credentials supplied in the other thread are for a basic user.

After logging in I found that your GeoDirectory page is actually http://yourdomain.com/directory/ and not http://yourdomain.com/gd-home/ and is working as expected.
Using two themes at once is possible, however this requires intimate knowledge of WordPress and PHP and a lot of time, you’ll have to contact a developer to carry this work out for you if you’re not able to do so. As I am sure you can understand the meshing of two themes is out of the scope of support for KLEO.

Sorry to hear you’re having issues with your logo.
Could you go to WP Admin > Pages > (your home page)
Scroll down to “Theme General Settings” below the main editor, under the tab “Display Settings” please make sure you do not have a custom logo defined in the field marked “Custom Logo”.
If you do not have an image there please can you add some admin credentials to your next reply so I can look into this further for you.

Sorry to hear you’re having issues with sub-menus. I have checked with the latest release of BuddyApp running a localhost and I can’t replicate that issue, without having access to your site this might prove difficult to debug.
Please try the following:
– Disable all plugins, clear website caching and browser cache. Does the problem go away? If so please enable each plugin one by one, making sure to clear your caches and test each time until you find the plugin causing the issue.
– Make a safe backup of anything in child theme’s style.css, functions.php or Quick CSS in theme options and clear out the contents. after clearing and purging the caches does the issue persist?
– Do you have a php error log or debug log that you could share with me?
– If you switch to the default WordPress theme Twenty Seventeen, Twenty Sixteen and Twenty Fifteen does the issue persist?Let me know,

Thanks for keeping me updated and I’m glad you got it sorted. The CSS below is based off your logo, you’ll need to create an image with more white space either side for this to look okay. You may also need to tweak this CSS a little to suit the new image.

Did you by chance publish the post before setting the author? This would cause it to be accredited to the administrator and create the BuddyPress activity item for the administrator.
If that is that case, you can copy the post content, delete the post, delete the activity item and then create a new post, set the correct author and publish. This should create a new activity item accredited to the author of the post.
