Hi,

I logged into your site and went to WP Admin > Settings > Permalinks and saved the options again that were already selected your /forums/ page now works as expected.

Sometimes you need to save your permalinks again if you have activated, deactivated or deleted a plugin that uses a custom post type or taxonomy. If you see this issue again with regards to 404 errors please try saving your permalinks.

Hi,

I logged into your site and found that the profile fields have already been imported. You can view, add, edit and delete profile fields via WP Admin > Users > Profile Fields (see screenshot).

The failure on import that you’re seeing appears to be because the fields are already present and cannot create any new fields as the fields are already present.

There is no setting to enable this, this a default behavior of HTML. If you wish you can send admin credentials in a private reply and I can set this this up for you.

I will need to know the URL of the page where the button is, exactly which button you wish to use and exactly what element you wish to target.

Hi,

I cannot guarantee any third party plugin will work without tweaks. The login form within the BuddyApp Restrict My Site plugin is a standard WordPress form so if the plugin you choose is correctly coded it should be able to hook into the form without any issues at all.

It would be beyond the scope of the support we offer via the forums to integrate new third party plugins into BuddyApp so if the plugin you choose does not work entirely you will either need to integrate this yourself or hire a developer to achieve this for you.

You can have a dedicated IP and shared hosting – they are not mutually exclusive. If you have concerns about sever administration and whether you’re required to do this or not you should contact your host directly for clarification.

Hi,

That depends on whether you’re on shared hosting, virtual private server, managed dedicated server or a dedicated server.

It looks like you’re on a managed server (shared hosting) with BlueHost in which case you will not have to touch MySQL / PHP at the server level – you’re host will take care of server level updates for these technologies.

Hi,

The progress bar is used to visualize basic data like percentages and is manually created and set via the Elementor Page Builder. You can use this to show how far you are from X goal or show that X goal is complete – that can be skill, development, fund raising – anything you like.

You can add this via the Elementor Page Builder by editing your desired page with Elementor and adding the ‘Progress Bar’ element from the left panel. Once added you can click to edit the values (see screenshots).

You can use the below CSS in your KLEO Child theme’s style.css by going to WP Admin > Appearance > Editor > KLEO Child > Style.css or by going to Theme Options > General Settings > Scroll to ‘Quick CSS’

Posts will not work properly until a page is assigned to house all of the posts as you have set the option to use a static page. You do not need to show this page to users and you can continue showing the individual category archive pages to users.

Hi,

You need to create and assign a page to use for posts. Please try the following

1. Create a new page in WP Admin > Pages > Add New. Title the page whatever you wish

2. Assign the page to use as the posts page by going to WP Admin > Settings > Reading > ‘Your homepage displays’ and select your newly created page from the posts page dropdown.

Once you have saved this changed please clear your cache(s) and visit your posts page and/or category page(s) and the pagination should work.

You should disable all plugins except for K Elements and WP Bakery (formerly Visual Composer), disable all caching and disable any CDN.

Once all of this is disabled you will need to test the signup in incognito mode and enable the plugins one by one until you find any plugin that is causing the issue.

You should make a full and valid backup of your site and database before making any changes like this. Also, you if you have the ability you should do this on a staging or local environment – if you do not know how to do this or if you host offers this or not you should contact your host directly.

You would need to do courses, like the ones I linked above, until you know how to code something by yourself without any examples. The languages I listed above are HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP.

1. You can use the below CSS in your BuddyApp Child theme’s style.css to override the font size for the labels

.kleo-login-wrap .login-form-wrapper .login-input-wrapper input.login-field:-webkit-autofill + .login-label .login-label-content {font-size: 14px;}

The default value for font size is 10px, I have changed this to 14px int he above example but you can set the value to any amount you wish.

2. You would need to look into third party plugins either in the WordPress plugin repository, CodeCanyon or other marketplaces to add additional social login options. Currently we have no plans on integrating any other social logins with BuddyApp.

If you wanted to build a site from scratch with your own theme etc you would need to learn HTML, advanced CSS, PHP, JavaScript and WordPress/BuddyPress etc inside and out.

If you want to build a site off our SweetDate theme you will not need most of those skills as we have done all of that for you, basic WordPress administration should suffice. If you wanted to extend our code you would need HTML and PHP knowledge as well as an understanding Child themes.

Hi,

That depends on many factors including natural ability, method of learning, time available etc.

I would say HTML and basic CSS is fairly easy, and would take a couple of months to understand it. Using it daily is the best way to learn – as well as using the browser console (F12) and the inspect option (right click an element) to see how others are developing their sites.

JavaScript takes a lot of time to learn and a firm grasp of mathematics will help. Once you have learned HTML and CSS it is fairly easy to learn PHP and is a very logical language once you understand the structure.

Side note:

You’re using a plugin to force a profile picture in conjunction with the use avatar option for Facebook login. When I registered it imported my Facebook profile picture (as expected) and set it within WordPress, however I was unable to navigate away due to the force profile picture even though an image was set.

It may be worth turning off this theme feature so that you can use this plugin without confusing users.
