You need to wait for 2.4. 2.3.1 doesnt work with the latest version of VC. 2.4 was delayed because of the latest version of VC which introduced lots of new goodies.

wp admin > apperance > menu > kleo. If you dont see Kleo, click on screen options in the upper right hand corner and enable it.

In the Kleo menu section, you’ll see My Account (that produces the avatar) and Live Notification (remove the title and add whatever icon you want).

My cpts show up in the author archive (archive.php site.com/author/authorname). So maybe its how your cpt is set up. Do they actually support Authors? For example, Kleos Testimonials and Clients are both CPTs, but they do not have Authors. http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/register_post_type

Doesnt really matter, because the answer is yes. I copied the exact shortcode you supplied and put it in a widget. It works. See attached. Either your ajax call is erroring out or not even firing.

Thank you, Mitch. Well, my background is Kleo. I started with WP about 15 months ago and purchased a different BP focused theme to start. I hated it so put everything on the back burner for awhile. Then Kleo came out and I’ve been hooked ever since. Honestly, answering questions is how I learned most of this stuff. Thanks again.

There’s really not much to learn. If a theme provides child theme support, you should use it. This allows you to make changes without modifying core files. Basically, your changes will be upgrade safe since themes only update the parent, not the child. http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

Its great if a theme gives you a way to add css, but what if your modification requires php? That’s where child themes are handy. If you want to switch to your child theme now, take a look at this post I wrote:

Your wp-content/plugins/buddypress-media/app/assets/css/main.css isn’t loading. That puts a float: left on the attach files button which will allow the post update button to display inline.

I looked at your source code and looks like the appropriate apps.min.js is loading (that’s the file with the jquery code to toggle the accordion). Also I dont see any errors.

So, try this. Disable any plugins that aren’t standard Kleo plugins. If that doesnt fix it try out the code in the attached file. Just copy and paste into a new page. Be sure that you are in Classic Mode (not VC) and click on Text (not Visual). Just ruling out errors in your accordion code.

I have Kleo running on multiple subdomains. Its more likely to be a plugin conflict or the wrong versions of the the plugins.

If you have other plugins installed, disable all of them except for the ones that come with Kleo (k-elements, VC and Revslider). As of this moment (Kleo is due to update any moment), these are the versions you should have installed

WP 4.1
Kleo 2.3.1
K-elements 2.3
Revslider 4.6.5
VC 4.3.5

I can’t recreate your issue. Choosing “Hidden” for Social Share and unchecking Allow Comments (discussion section) hides both. Perhaps its a caching issue?
