https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/customizing/customizing-labels-messages-and-urls/the correct path for the .po and .mo should be /wp-content/languages/plugins/ in the format like buddypress-en_US.po

After that you should go to Loco translate plugin and edit your language and click the Sync button. After taht you should see the Lost password and Search strings if they are still missing

It should be really straigh forward.
Kleo styling logic it is thought to be very dynamic so you ca have different colors in your site sections which are header, alternate(breadcrumb area), main area(where the content of the site is), footer columns and socket(small text section with credits)
Each section has a set of colors that are used to generate all the styling for that section. Most of them are intuitive like text color, background color, etc
The ones that could be not so intuitive are the alternate colors which are some complementary colors we needed to style some special elements in the section and we couldn’t use the other colors.Let me know if you need any more details and I will happily help.
I think Kleo is a great theme and you will realize it once you play with it a bit so give it another try please.

Please make sure you have the latest theme version and if you are overriding this file page-parts/general-header-section.php in your child theme make sure to update your changes we made to the files using a file compare software.Cheers

That is not required since those plugins are bundled in the theme for free.
Since 4.0.3, RevSlider and Go pricing tables will get automatic updates without theme updates. In 4.0.4 update coming this week we will make that possible for Visual composer too.

Thanks for being our customer.AbeKeymasterFor the 404 pages try resaving the permalinks since that sometimes happen to WordPress rewrite logic. I think those plugins are intended to work with posts? Try doing the same with the default wordpress theme and if it happens the same then it is something from the plugin logic.

Related to the plugin strings, the theme does not interfere in the translation process and they should be translated from the corresponding plugin. Try to get a translated po/mo language file set and upload them to wp-content/languages/plugins

Help us reproduce the issue so we can address it with a fix if it is the case.

Related to the notice you wrote above, it comes from Revolution slider import and is just an import notice telling you about the import status and not an error. You can check on the page you imported if the slider exists on the page and if it looks good.
