Any chance you can share some FTP and site credentials with me in this ticket so I can look into this a bit more. I’m concerned that you do not have an activity-loop.php file within that folder as there should be, I confirmed this a few moments ago with a fresh download of the main theme files (see attached).

The method I used previously is no longer a solution.
Using this method https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/how-to-customize-the-buddypress-activity-loop/ (which is the one I believe you to be working from) you will need to edit the following file as per their guidance.

Thanks for the compliment, we do try! I’m going to look into this for you because you shouldn’t need to edit any files other than functions.php to get this working. If I remember rightly Sarah Gooding wrote an article about this some time ago.

With your changes are you still seeing new unwanted items being created or is it just the old content that still exists?
If it is the latter it is because BuddyPress stores activity in an unusual way, you would have to manually delete previous “new members” etc

After searching a little I found two possible solutions to adding or forcing profile photos, please see below:
– BuddyPress Force Profile Photo which was updated 5th June 2017. This option doesn’t appea to add the ability to upload during registration but does make a profile image mandatory https://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-force-profile-photo/
– BuddyPress Signup Avatar which was updated 25th March 2015. This option allows users to upload avatars during the registration process but does not appear to require it. This plugin is from a respected developer but has not been updated for some time, please use caution with plugins that have not been updated for a while. https://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-signup-avatar/

Your site is in maintenance mode and I am unable to login using credentials provided in another topic.
With regards to your issue, are you referring to the appear animation effect? If so, could you try disabling animations side wide for all devices by going to Theme Options > Miscellaneous > Site-Wide Animations and selecting “Disable on all devices”.
After clearing your site and browser cache, check to see if the issue still occurs, if it no longer happens then I will look into supplying you with some CSS to disable it for the BuddyPress feed only, or – if you like, you can leave that option active.
If that doesn’t appear to be the issue then please let me know and supply some updated admin credentials and I will look into this further for you.

I can’t seem to login to your staging site, wp-admin is coming up not found and logging in takes me to your main site.
You have identified using the child theme as the issue, which means the issue can only reside in either your customized CSS or php files.
Please try the following:
– Copy CSS from child theme to Quick CSS in Theme Options > General Settings > Quick CSS. If the issue appears again please delete the css and add each piece of custom CSS one by one until you find the issue.
– If the CSS is not the issue the it must reside in a customized php file. Switch back to the child theme, make a backup of it’s contents, delete all of your customized files and code in functions.php. Once you have done this please upload one file at a time, checking to see if the error returns, until you find the file causing the issue.

To change the favorite icons used for the BuddyPress activity please use the following CSS:
Initial state (not favorited)
#buddypress a.button.fav:before, #buddypress a.button.unfav:before, #buddypress a.fav.bp-secondary-action:before, #buddypress a.unfav.bp-secondary-action:before {content: "\e810";}
Secondary state (favorited)
#buddypress a.button.unfav:before, #buddypress a.unfav.bp-secondary-action:before {content: "\e80F";}
In the above example I have used two heart icons. To find the icon code you wish to use please go to http://fontello.com/ click on the ‘customize codes’ tab and copy the value to the CSS provided above.

That is the default behaviour of BuddyPress. In the URL you will see it is appended with #acomment-60 which is the ID of that particular reply. I have added a few more replies to show you that it is working as intended. Please try appending the link you posted with #acomment-59 instead of #acomment-60 and you will see the page is actually taking you to the comment and not the footer.

This is not a support topic so we won’t be able to support you on this. But to give you an insight into what you will need please see below:
Media server
You will need dedicated hosting, your own IP address, a lot of server resources and SSH access. You can use Red5, Wowza or Adobe Media Server. Some are free and some are not, likewise some are good and some are not so good. If this is outside of your budget or technical skills you could opt for a service like CometChat who offer peer to peer video chat, this reduces the need for extensive resources but it is limited to the users ability to stream and receive video and costly.
Software
There are many many options out there that may be suitable for your needs. All of which will need your own extensive review to see if their offerings meet your requirements. Previously I have used 123flashchat for a community, it was okay. You should also be aware most software like this is usually at least USD $1000+.

– Disable all plugins other than K Elements and Visual Composer
– Disable WP Rocket, clear caches and open in a new incognito window

– Make a complete backup of your Kleo Child
– Remove ALL custom code from functions.php in your child theme
– Remove ALL files you have duplicated and edited in your child themeClear website and browser caches and purge any services like CloudFlare and try again.
Further, do you get the same issue when using our KLEO demo?

You’re right, via mobile there does appear to be an issue with registering via Facebook.
Your first step to debugging this will require turning off all plugins bar K Elements and Visual Composer and seeing if the issue still exists. If with all other plugins deactivated, website cache cleared and browser cache cleared (please note you will have to delete all browser data on a phone to get it to clear properly) the problem still exists then please let me know.

Facebook login is working as expected, I managed to sign up using the modal on the main page. The problem is actually coming from performance, most of the scripts are taking so long to load they appear (until fully loaded) to be non-functioning. After you use the Facebook button to sign-up it again takes a very long time to load anything and gives the appearance that it isn’t doing anything.
I tried to do a performance check using GTmetrix to show you the performance but it took too long to load and the site timed out.
You might find this article on the subject helps somewhat.
