Hi Doug,
All of your settings should remain. However, to be safe, go to WP Admin > Theme Options > Import / Export and export the settings for your install of KLEO. Then connect via your host or software and make a backup of your site files and database – that way, should the worst happen, you have a safe and clean copy of your site to restore.
As you’re hosted with SiteGround you can make use of their staging feature to create a copy of your site and test making the changes for a particular site. That way your actual site is not affected and the changes can be pushed back to your main site should everything go according to plan.

Thanks for sharing that. I think you will need to manually update KLEO to bypass this error but it should as expected, via the Envato Market, for all updates thereafter.
To update manually please download the latest installable WordPress file from ThemeForest, switch themes to Twenty Seventeen, delete KLEO and upload the fresh copy of KLEO to your site. You will then be running the latest version of KLEO, 4.4.2, and all updates should work as expected going forward.

KLEO doesn’t control the profile tabs it simply displays them. If you would like to extend the BuddyPress tabs you can do so by following this guide at rtMedia https://rtmedia.io/docs/developers/create-new-buddypress-profile-tab/.
Once you have created your new tab you can use your custom code to render the content you wish to by changing the last few lines

That’s very strange indeed. Can you share with me the error logs for your site? If you do not know how to get these please contact SiteGround support directly who will be able to retrieve and share these with you.
You may need to manually update the theme as your current version is pre API change and therefore still has the old code which may be causing the issue. The theme can be manually updated by going to WP Admin > Appearance > Themes, switching to Twenty Seventeen, deleting KLEO and uploading the freshly downloaded file from ThemeForest via the same method. It is also possible to extract the files on your computer and upload via SFTP / FTP directly into /wp-content/themes/kleo/

Have you switched to the new method of updating, Envato Market? We made a change a little while ago as the general Envato API method was causing many errors for users.
If you haven’t yet done so you’ll need to install the Envato Market plugin and then follow this support article https://archived.seventhqueen.com/general/article/update-themes-automatically-using-envato-market-plugin to configure it. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I think we need to rule out a potential plugin conflict / outdated theme files
Can you please do the following – clear your cache(s) (Ctrl+F5) after each step – and test again.
– Ensure KLEO is updated to the latest version, 4.4.2, currently your version is 4.3.12
To do this you will need to configure the Envato Market plugin via WP Admin > Envato Market (direct link: https://www.bausocial.it/wp-admin/admin.php?page=envato-market). You can follow the below guide on how to set this up https://archived.seventhqueen.com/general/article/update-themes-automatically-using-envato-market-plugin. Once configured please update KLEO to the latest version.
– Disable all caching and minification at the WordPress / server level
– Disable all plugins that did not come bundled with KLEO

Just so you’re aware I am going to turn some plugins on/off and switch themes to see if I can find a cause for this issue. This will mean the fix from the other ticket won’t appear whilst the KLEO Child theme is inactive.

This sounds like a simple CSS issue between a third party plugin you’re using and rtMedia. Please disable your maintenance mode and send me a link to where I can see the issue so I can check the CSS and you possibly send you a fix.

I have tried to recreate your issue locally and live with the latest KLEO, BuddyPress and rtMedia and I am unable to do so. I think this issue is going to be plugin related. If you disable all of your caching and all plugins except for K Elements, BuddyPress and rtMedia does the issue continue? Make sure you purge your browser cache completely before testing to see if it works with the plugins disabled.

Can I confirm that you have installed the new sidebar plugin, Sidebar Generator, and are still experiencing this issue?
If you haven’t then please go to WP Admin > Appearance > Install Plugins > Sidebar Generator. Once installed and activated please check to see if your issue persists.

I’ll respond in the same numbered format below for ease of tracking
1. What you’re looking for here is the Member Type in BuddyPress where members come from. You can manually extend this yourself by following this article https://codex.buddypress.org/developer/member-types/, or by using a plugin like https://www.buddyboss.com/product/buddypress-member-types/. If you go with a plugin option ensure it is compatible with BP Profile Search.
2. Installing a new demo will simply import the relevant pages it will not effect your users or posts. If the demo already exists then the page will be overwritten.
3. This is not true. We are not working on nor plan to work on adding chat to KLEO as this functionality would not be suitable for a theme. There are many plugins and services out there that will offer chat functionality for your site.

You can find the users in WP Admin > Users and the profile fields under WP Admin > Users > Profile Fields.
If you’d like to edit this directly via the database you’ll need to connect via phpMyAdmin (or similar tool at the host level) and look in the bp_xprofile_* and wp_users tables. I would not recommend that you do this unless you’re comfortable in MySQL.
* indicates multiple tables that start with bp_xprofile_

I have looked at your site and it seems that the issue is somewhat intermittent. Does your host give you access to staging? If so I think you will need to copy your site into staging and do a plugin disable test. You need to disable all plugins that did not come bundled with KLEO, this includes any add-ons for plugins that did come bundled with KLEO, WooCommerce Stripe Gateway for example.
Once these plugins have been disabled you should purge your browsers cache completely (except for form data and passwords) by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Del and test both issues again.
If you do not have access to staging you should make a full backup of your sites files and database and try the above mentioned tests.

You can use the ID #main to target everything within the main page (except header and footer) or body to target everything.
For example
COPY CODE#main { background-color: #ff0000; }
You can add a class before, as per my previous reply, to target only specific pages.
You can set a background image by using background image property instead of (or aswell as) the color property. See here for more information on this https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/pr_background-image.asp. W3schools has a ton of useful information on CSS if you wish to learn to more about it.

It’s up to you whether you keep the default theme, Twenty Seventeen, installed or not. It won’t affect your use of KLEO but it does help to have it installed in case you need to test if an issue is coming from KLEO or not.
If you do decide to keep themes installed, but not activated, then it’s a wise precaution to keep them updated – this is true for plugins too. If a plugin or theme has a vulnerability it can still be exploited even if it’s deactivated.
The best course of action is only have what you need installed and add any other themes or plugins only when needed.

You can update WP Bakery to 5.5.5 by going to WP Admin > Appearance > Install Plugins. We provide WP Bakery via an OEM licence and there is no requirement to make any additional purchase to use, or update, WP Bakery.
