I’m sorry but over weekend time we might respond with a little bit of delay, there is nothing personal and no one is ignoring you, we also have a response queue to deal with.

Back to your issues, PMPro is just an plugin with which we integrate by default and also on top of which we have already built some custom restrictions. Their paid addons are part of their business model and we cannot interfere with it.

Regarding member directory you could create some member types using buddypress, but again, in order to create custom restrictions for those member types you would need some custom development.

Probably your 256M limit doesn’t apply recursively over your entire site and it works just in the folder with the php.ini file. The behaviour you encounter is normal, as how disabling some plugins will lower the amount of memory needed to render your pages. Please note that this is not an issue of our theme, is just the way wordpress and it’s plugins work, as many as you activate as well you need to provide more resources.

An update which will include VC 4.7 will be released in a couple of days.
Can you please let me know to what VC element did you tried to add that animation ?
You can as well make a test by switching to the default wordpress theme and deactivate the K-Elements plugin and see if the issue is still present, If in this case it’s still present then it’s not related to our theme and it is indeed a bug from VC.

Probably what you’re trying to do isn’t compatible with the waypoint library that we use OR maybe your development might entirely brake js scrips and that’s why you might get that error.

You shouldn’t even touch any files outside plugins or themes folders, in your example you’re injecting a file in the main index file from the root folder.

So let’s take it step by step.
A theme is build by :
– a style.css file, which has some comments in the header that defines a few things
– the template files ( http://codex.wordpress.org/images/9/96/wp-template-hierarchy.jpg )
– template parts ( https://kovshenin.com/2013/get_template_part/ )
– the functions.php file which is the primary point where you can start extending wordpress.
– all kind of other files that are outside the main template hierarchy files are extensions of features or all kind of developments and logics which are included or required from the functions.php file

So what happens in the child theme ? Well, a child theme is defined in it’s style.css file headers, where is related/linked to it’s parent. You already learned that a child theme can be build of only the style.css and the functions.php file. That’s because the system will automatically know to load anything from the parent theme.

On the child theme you can come and copy any files that make part of the main templating system or that has built a manually check for allowing overriding in the child theme, because not all files copy from the main theme to the child theme will work by default. Almost all the custom included files can’t be overridden in this manner.

In your case I think you should move your require into the /sweetdate-child/functions.php file. Not it might depends of what it contains. Well, this happens because probably the FES plugin uses an outdated version of the Redux Framework ( the framework behind the theme options panel and probably their settings panel as well ).

Try to contact them regarding this issue.
PS. This shouldn’t have any impact at front end level but as you saw it will break the backend admin panel.

I see you use some minifying tool and as well a cdn, can you please try to deactivate your minify options and as well clear you cdn cache so you can feel the changes.

Minifying is the most common task that breaks javascripts.

Also, when you are working with OG tags, please note that facebook caches your site, and it might take a few good hours until facebook grabs the new version of your site. In order to inspect your changes as you make them please use the following inspect tool: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ so be sure that your og tags are in place or not.

Try to leave Visual Composer activated while you try to deactivate other plugins, maybe you have some caching plugin which is misconfigured, those are the most common that produces such javascript errors.

So deactivate your plugins one by on until you manage to find the source of the issue. Also please be sure you didn’t made any modifications to the theme that might produce such issues.

@adamdale1, please understand that what you’re trying to learn has basics in programming, so you should need to understand html/php and also start knowing wordpress template system and a few other wordpress related things.

If you want to understand how to do them by yourself then you’ll have to spend some serious time learning, if you just want some of your modifications fixed quickly, then you can hire someone to help you do them.

Related to our support, we are already providing a lot of awesomeness around here but unfortunately we don’t have time and it is not in our priorities to learn our customers how to code.
